Hey hermiehunter I know the is an old thread but I'm about to put 275/65r18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S's on my Limited. How was the clearance at the upper control arm? That's my only real concern. I have 265/65 all seasons on it now and it's tight. I think it will clear based on what you've said but I figured I'd check. I have 2" spacers on the front and nothing in the rear so I'm perfectly level front to back. Hoping not to have any drama after $1000 tires and alignment.

I have a 2013 limited longbed with the OEM chrome wheels. I'm curious if you went with the 275/65/r18 tires as you mentioned in your post and if you've had any rubbing issues?. I'm installing the Bilstein 5100's front at 1.75 and back.

yes, I actually went with Michelins Defender LTX's though. No rubbing thus far but I haven't gone off road or anything. I have 2" spacers on the front and nothing out back. The tires ride so nice.

Good looking truck! Just wanted to know what that thing is on your tailgate? Some sort of storage device? Never seen one before, did you get it online? ok, no more questions!

installed Bilstein 5100s set at 1.75" in front. Truck is level at 36" all-around at the top of the wheel wells. Front mudflaps previously removed. No rubbing! BF Goodrich KO2s 275/65r18.

Hey, not sure if anyone replied to this (TW noob) but it's a bike carrier. Throw the bike over the tailgate and Velcro them in place. So easy.

I came so close to getting these exact tires but I rarely go off road and couldn't justify the noise and ride quality. They look so bad-ass though. How's it ride?

nice looking rig with the limited wheels.
I just picked up 2021 18in limited wheels, I’m planning on putting these on my 2012 prerunner, my question is do I need to regear my truck?
Sounds like that can get expensive.

You won't need a regear unless you put bigger tires on, like 34s

I noticed a bit of a difference with 275/65/18 (about 32.0 inches) but it was mostly the weight since they were LTs

Thanks for the quick response, I heard I might loose some mpgs since they are a bit heavier but def needed to upgrade the stock 16in stock steel wheels

I went for the taller skinnier tire - 255/70R18 - 32 inches tall. The taller sidewalls ride way better than the factory set-up - gas mileage suffers though. I've got those same tacky plastic covered wheels on my Limited but can't convince myself to spend money on changing rims. If I was really going to change - I think I'd go for a smaller rim at the 32 inch tire OD to get even more sidewall height.

The Limited spare is the same aluminum wheel without the plastic - and the raw aluminum looks way better. It tempts me to just strip the chrome.

Thanks for that. My limited as a 2.5” lift and I have the stock 18 rims. Was curious if 275/65R16 would work
