There aren't many pics of Army Green caps out there...just got mine installed ARE CX Classic although I think it may have a bad gasket seal on install as it had some water in the back when I got home....
    I'll be going back real soon for a correct installation. 20210327_114119.jpg 20210327_113825.jpg 20210327_114010.jpg 20210327_113927.jpg

Today's project is to install these ScreenProTech Pillar Protectors. Some people prefer to pull the black vinyl from their trucks. I like the protection they provide for the area where you often grab the doors to shut them and I plan on keeping my truck for many years. Like the screen and odometer protection kits, these use a self-healing vinyl to protect the covered area. I've been pleased with the screen kit so I thought I'd give this kit a try. I'll post some pics and thoughts after I get them on.

One month anniversary. The AG turns 600 miles, gets its first needed wash since purchased, and gets its first picture with the big brother (white Sport LB).

I may not be the best resource to answer that because I had the benefit of immediate family employee discounts from the larger parent company that owns that dealership.

But, I can say that they were less than thrilled to apply those discounts to this particular model. It was difficult for them to get that configuration because its desirable and somewhat uncommon so they expected to sell this truck quickly at a premium.

I'm not a cap guy, but I have to say that combo looks pretty good. But then again, I think anything in AG looks good!

I might have missed this on another post, but just out of curiosity, what tire/wheel size did you go with?

I've been pleased with the screen kit so I thought I'd give this kit a try.

I was surprised when I originally received them to see that the protectors were black - the originals I had seen and those in the install video are clear. Not sure why they changed them to black - it actually seemed to make alignment a little tougher because you couldn't see the edges as you could have with a clear strip.

It took me about an hour per side. To get all (at least almost all) of the air bubbles out, you need to work slowly. I found that it was impossible to get them all - always seemed to miss a few small ones. I have gone back and got a few more close to the edges since taking the pictures. The material is supposed to breath so the small bubbles should work their way out in a week or so. It was also difficult to get the lower rear corners of the rear door pillar to adhere. I had to work both of those several times and go back to them occasionally. I'll check them in an hour to see how the look.

All in all, I'm pleased with the kit. It covers well - the real test will be to see how well they hold up and protect the pillars.
