Morning all. Not sure what’s is planned for the day . Maybe to hardware store for some baseboard replacement and gardening stuff

 

Not quite a breakfast of champions but I've done quite a number on these brownies this morning

Weather is overcast today with wind warnings which means I should probably pick up all the weeds I pulled yesterday and left in piles. Spent yesterday cleaning the shop, pulling weeds and starting to pull up rocks that the previous owners had jacked from the front of the house to use as a perimeter for their dog run

Should have left a cam on it because something snatched it up while we were still out there.

 

It doesn't look dead.

 

It had only been a few days since we went into the shop so it couldn't have been there long. It was solid.

 

Ugh, Starlings...they're the dirtiest birds we have around here...as far as pooping goes they make a horrible mess. After I dispatch a few of them they don't hang around as much. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't crap all over the swimming pool deck.
There is one momma bird that has eluded me that last 5 years! I've contemplated the 12ga for that one.

I wasn't sure what type of bird it was initially and then I felt less bad when I figured it out. We easily had a 1000 last night hopping from our pasture into the next that we watched from our hot tub.

 

The only starling I‘ve ever seen was Clarice in the silence of the lambs
