    How bad?

I think it skirted us this time. I have both vehicles in the shop.

My Truck in 2008 (?) had all four sides pummelled with hail. Took the check for $12K, kept on driving the truck. After 10 more years, all the dents pretty much popped themselves out and sold it for close to $10K (2500HD Chevy 2500 Crewcab).

Ha, it got a good licking. We're in Central Austin (40th/I35). Most of it is on the hood and cab roof, I think I found one or two hits on both front fenders and doors and the drivers bedside. The passengers bedside and tailgate I think survived unscathed but I didn't spend that much time looking. Had Dentworks take a look at it and they think it's economically feasible to repair the hood so just waiting for the insurance assessment and then I'll have Dentworks fix it. I've used them for a door ding in a bad place on the E63 wagon and was happy with the experience.

Luckily I'm not emotionally invested in the aesthetics of the truck, having ~1,500 miles on it does sting.

These are being sold at Costco for $640(price includes tax) at the north Costco off research blvd in Austin. The booth will be gone on Sunday and it’s the only Costco in Texas currently selling them. There are other options available but you can’t buy online.

The wifie got her new Telluride yesterday. I drove it home from Plano, and why in the :censored: do we live in a society where the slowest traffic is in the left lane?

They need to spend a few years in Germany. Block the left lane, lose your license!

I always "pass on left, keep right," but I 35 drives me nuts. The worst is the big rig in front of you, on-ramp with a stream of traffic merging. Hang back and give the big rig a chance to merge left, then back into the right lane after that stream has merged into the freeway. I've hung back to let rigs do just that. I'd rather be on Hwy 183 and 281. Stephenville BBQ is a great reason for that drive!

The funniest one flew up for Stephenville for lunch. Boy, we got there early. Flying home, we had a 60 mph wind at elevation. All the traffic on I-35 was passing me on the way home!

I'm getting older, so these hang out on the right lane and think, "woohoo, I might get 22 mpg yet with the Taco!". I do miss my big van with the 3.5 EcoBoost (empty van, high horsepower, and it was a blast).

I know, I spent many a mile on the autobahn in '84, back and forth between Darmstadt and Grafenwohr. If I put the left blinker on here, while driving behind a self absorbed prick in the left lane, they would just think, "that guy is going to drive on the shoulder?"...

When we got into north G'town yesterday, the sign where they post current traffic conditions read:

    42 minutes to 79

    10 miles

WTAF. I'm glad we turned off at 2243.

I was living in Reutlingen, working for Robert Bosch GmbH (Automotive Electronics). My gf (later my wife) was at the 97th General in Frankfurt. Drove lots of miles between those locations.

I finally got the rest of the clips installed on my RSI Smart Cap. I just laughed with the "takes about one hour to assembly" they left out "if you have four arms, strength of a gorilla with the dexterity of praying mantis." It will take another month for my glutes and hamstrings to settle down. Now to get the rubber seal attached and wait for next weekend (all the kids should be here) to get it on the truck.
