I can’t find the right bolt and I don’t want to chance messing up the threads if there are any in there. I am trying to mount this on my 2017.6C9C315D-22E4-456E-AF95-9E51498C15F3.jpg

    Are there 3 mounting points?

That’s where the striker plates for the OEM tonneau mount. There are three spots on each side and the threads are M6-1.00

Those should be threaded. That's for the OEM bed cover pins. 3 on each side plus one in the middle on the cab side. There are two different types of bed rail covers too. One for trucks with the pins installed and one without.

I can’t see how the 3 posts hold to the bed rail. Are they individual bolted or is it a rail with all 3 posts on it?

The posts bolt to the bed, completely separate from the bed rails.

You should have no problem mounting to these, there are 3 spots on each side of the bed each with 2 threaded holes to bolt into. I used them for a rack I needed for kayaks, end product was very sturdy.
Here's a picture with the holes exposed, I trimmed away the bed cap plastic that is usually between them.

And here is the rack mounted to the 3 positions.

There are 2 bolts per each of those post things. The original bed rail is cut in each of those places (3 on each side), the posts are bolted in, then there is another plastic cover that goes over each of them so the bolts aren't exposed.
