Mine has been on for the last 20 years gets drained when I walk past.

If I plan on being out of Town several days I shut it off mine is hard wired to a disconnect.

Only had one issue where a air line failed the compressor ran to the thermal overload opened

fixed things good to go has to be several years ago.

I turn it off every night. On when I need it. Drain hooked up to the sprinkler system, drains for 5 minutes a day.

I finally got my new vise from Capri (it was out of stock for a while). Looks like it should do the job. It came with a free gift of a pair of plastic magnetic parts bowls. I also got a 2 gallon oil drain pan from them which I have been searching for for a while. My old pan was a little small for a 6 quart oil change.

I also got an assortment of vise jaw pads for the new vise from Amazon.

this arrived last night. Time to see what I can do with it. Decent price and great reviews.

Also, bought a Milwaukee multi piece drill/driver/etc set to eliminate 3 of 5 tool chargers on my box. Not sure how I lived so many years with JUST a drill. Just used driver to relocate some shelves on the wall to make room for some new tools and such and wowza

Haha those little 1/4” impact drivers are great. I only use a drill for drilling holes now and the 1/4” impact for everything else.

I went to use my spa last weekend and I noticed the 5 year old pump motor seemed unusually noisy. When I got in and kicked it up to high it was even noisier and barely was pumping.

    Out with the old.

    In with the new.

I went ahead and replaced the filter while it was drained.

The new pump motor is even quieter than the original one was before it went bad. Now I just have to wait for the water to heat back up.

you can get a free hot tub most of the time if you search, people are always willing to get rid of them for cheap. My parents have one they can't get rid of, tried to give it to me, no thanks lol. Hot tubs are sort of like purchasing a boat for the house, nothing but broken parts and maintenance.

My parents have an older natural gas heated underground spa and it is a PITA to maintain. They have had to replace the whole heater twice plus many sensors and other parts.

Mine is electric and has been maintenance free until the motor went bad. The only thing with electric is you leave the temperature up all the time so its much more expensive to operate. To me its worth it. I love grabbing a couple cold beers and soaking in it before I go to bed.

Well since I work for the electric company, I'll say thanks for keeping us in business :D. They are definitely nice, my buddy has one; so whenever I get the urge to go tub thumping I just go over there and we crack a couple beers in the dude soup

Anybody have a problem keeping the top shelf of their boxes clean and organized? Mine always turns into a catch all.
What does everyone use the top shelf of the tool box for? Mine is misfit items, old waxing rags, probably old face masks from grinding, old pocket knives, who knows what’s up there right now. Maybe if I think of a purpose for it, it won’t be a junk drawer

I use the top of the cart as a work surface. The 7 drawer holds my dad's chop saw:
