Well i took my 1911 to the range last sunday and shoots great. I put about 50 rounds through it just to work the ejector and so far havent had a jam. Shoots great too. I am going to upgrade the sights and the grips next and than see if i can find a local gunsmith to do a trigger job on it.

I've posted it here before somewhere, but I'll whore it out again. here is my Kimber Custom II, bought box stock. I've replaced the MSH with a chainlink style stainless with magwell one from Fusion, the plain black sights have been replaced with Trijicon tritium night sights. The black rubber grip panels have been replaced with Hougue cocobolo full-sized panels with custom VZ screws and rubberized front strap, the extra mags are a couple of Chip McCormicks with bumpers installed along with E/P springs. I have over 1500 rds through it with no problems, cleaned and oiled every 100rds or so. BTW the blade is a Microtech Socom Elite auto with a tanto grind.

The guy said it was bought last month and only has 100 (flawless) rounds through it. He said a cop buddy bought it and then needed Christmas $ so this guy bought it but he likes Sigs. So I basically got a month old Kimber for $300 off retail.

Ya, I miss my CDP Pro... but I'm carrying the Kahr much more of the time. Still waiting for someone to make a cheaper paddle holster for it. The Blade Tech has a nice "snap on over the belt" feature but it's not as tight to the body as I'd like, and it's made for a Sig 228- so retention is pretty poor.

Which Kahr do you have? I just sold my CW45 and still have my CW9. I use an inside the pants style DeSantis for it. With it being winter, I've been carrying my Gen 4 Glock 23 with 165 grain Federal HST's. :D

Oh gotcha..My old lady has the Kimber CDP Ultra. I guess that's the same size as the EMP (3 inch barrel). 6 + 1 capacity. It's a nice little piece. I really don't have any experience with the EMP, just that it's basically the Springfield Armory verson of the Kimber.

I've got the CW45. IWBs aren't real comfortable to me (I have a Galco), and the belly band just ain't right.
Had some failures to chamber at first and the slide stop pin was falling out, but those issues are gone now.
