We will be sending out fuel pump controllers.
Please check your email to swap your controller.
I have 13 setup and ready to go, working on more (which will ship with kits for some folks).

I think we have finally ironed out all the kinks with the kit.

Once you get the TT folks taken care of, will the FP controllers be available for the rest of us?

Would the FP controller by itself be of any benefit or must it be coupled with the DW300? I believe it must be coupled, but can't remember exactly, esp with your new controller.

And, would the kit be of any benefit for non-FI folks?

    Thanks!

my thought is it will be of no benefit.

if you don't have more air, there is no sense in adding more fuel.

open to be proven wrong though

Pictures of the update and info on all changes ( some of this stuff was talked about previously )

    1. Fuel pump controller (new controller board, firmware, more robust components)

    2. Intake : cast pieces / housing for passenger side for the stock intake box, cast piece that routes away from the oil fill neck. TBD on when it gets here (prototype ETA 3 weeks) includes tapped port for passenger side oil / crank case vapor

    3. Oil Return - Full hard Lines (stainless steel)

These changes are expected to be *Final* and no other changes past this point.

    Awesome!
Are you waiting to ship the remaining kits until you have the cast parts in hand?

He said before that he was going to ship kits without the new custom intake piece and would just send it later.

O2 sensor spacers with mini cats are in. Hopefully the 0420/30 codes stay away this time.

The little cheapo spacers off of Amazon I'd initially tried didn't do the trick.

Good news so far. 19mi so far and about 20 mins of parked idle time, average speed on the drive was 60-75mph, and the CEL hasn't returned.

Probably won't feel comfortable that it's gone for good until 100-200mi or so, along with more aggressive driving, but this is great. Usually it would've returned by now.

It's great to have cruise control back too lol

I now have 35mi on the truck with the new o2 sensor spacers with mini catalytic converters and so far no CEL. Normally it'd be back by now.

Feels great to have cruise control again too like I'd said and it feels really nice to be in CC and have it give a couple pounds to maintain speed, you don't even notice it lol

Yes, the CEL could be turned off in the tune, but that puts the sensors in a "not ready state", and I want to be able to pass my state inspection with as little hassle as possible. I've gone down the route of paying off shops to just pass me in the past with other vehicles and it's sort of a PITA finding out where they're at and if they're still doing it and whatnot.

These are from Fabspeed, maybe you can find cheaper elsewhere, here's the link:

    https://www.fabspeed.com/universal-o2-spacer-with-catalytic-converter-single/

And if you are looking for additional reviews, here's the link for the pair of 90-deg ones:

    https://www.fabspeed.com/universal-...84W03YfXIf1KCps4C2PEiR4did_m-oChoCj2gQAvD_BwE

Yes, they're expensive. I think the price went up a little bit too because those individual ones are listed at $195/ea and I bought them at like $175/ea. At first I tried some $15 spacers off of Amazon and they didn't work, CEL came back within a couple miles. These work by using an actual small little catalytic converter, and the thing that the downstream sensors look for is a large enough difference in the exhaust gasses when compared to the upstream sensors. With our setups and even with the catted downpipes, apparently simply pulling the sensors back from the exhaust gas stream is not enough.

Reviews on the product listings were unanimously positive, for vehicles like GT500, porsches, BMWs, etc. So I figured buy once, cry once lol or maybe technically buy twice in my case lol

I ordered one with a 90-deg fitting and one with a 45. I'd taken a look at the location of the bungs on my y-pipe and determined that two 90-deg fittings would have the driver side one not fit because then the mini-cat would be trying to sit where the pipe is.

So, after the issue with our initial pump controllers, we sought out to make something that is robust, tunable, and future proof.

VF Tuner Version 3 DW300 Fuel pump controller

    complete info/specs

ST 168Mhz arm cortex based processor (8x faster than version 2)

    Electrical specifications:
40 Amp capable (stock limit is 20amp)
18v capable (stock limit is 15v)

    Tunability

Our firmware utilizes full floating point instructions, serial communication operation, and hot keys for tunability via PC.
    - Can directly log output information over a serial terminal
    - Can modify output information, enter boot mode, control pulse mode and more
    - Can directly, in real time watch the 3D Table data look up values over Serial/Terminal

    Tunability- 3D Table
    - Internal Duty Reset value (if duty goes above X threshold, reset duty)
    - ECUs duty signal vs Pres V (for controller with expansion)

Expansion plug ties into the stock Fuel Pressure Sensor

Tunable Map That users can calibrate via vF Tuner - Coming soon.

So, the fuel pump controller this time (as I mentioned) would have an optional expansion plug. (actually internally you can have 2, but the basic has this one).
This expansion plug takes the information from the stock fuel pressure sensor (tied into the wiring) and the information (duty Hz) from the ECU in order to have a steady state pressure control.

This is a necessity for higher horsepower applications, where folks want to start really pushing higher boost.

We recommend using the expansion port for all kits with the upgraded fuel pump kit. Due to the volume of inquiries, we will make these available for Magnuson and other SC options once we ship all of our current TT orders.

Instructions will be provided on wiring (it's easy)

    Expansion plug information
Expansion Plug 1 - Stock Fuel Pressure Sensor
Expansion Plug 2 - High Boost only version - ties into a boost pressure sensor - allowing fuel pressure ramp up to 100 psi (necessary for adequate high boost fueling through the direct injectors).

If you'd like, you can wait until I've got 100-200 miles on them and then update you guys here with confirmation that the CEL still hasn't returned.

Just to feel that much more comfortable with spending that much money

For anyone looking to save some $$ while taking care of p0420 codes... I put catless headers on my 4.0l, tried the non foulers and they didn't work, tried one of the Amazon renditions and it didn't work....I then tried two non folders stacked and it went away for a little bit longer and eventually came back... I ended up welding the middle non fouler shut, then drilled a small hole in it, and kept enlarging hole until the code went away for good. Now have probably ~10k running catless with this setup and no codes.
