so I do have a sticker addiction...and am known for it. All of my cars have always had stickers of some sort...usually in this configuration

    stckrsTaco.jpg

believe it or not, I can see NONE of these in my rear view mirror.

I only ever sticker on the glass b/c it is easiest to remove when it is time

this definitely started back in the BMX days with the number plate

well...those of us with stickers on our stuff are technically "yelling" about our own beliefs/likes etc...so it is only fair, and expected, for people to yell back

and I am a sticker guy...and am ready to have a civil conversation with anyone about my beliefs etc...CIVIL being the key word

I also tag my bed box lid. I think stickers are cool. I use magnetic ones from time to time when I can clean under them regularly. I put counter culture stickers on the glass so I can remove them after getting my point across. Anti sticker people are probably half empty sort of personality profiles.

    I did the Mini's underhood
I saw a 4runner a couple of years ago that was all overlander-ed. They did the entire door jamb/frame. Could not see any thing from the outside with door closed. pretty neat.

I agree. I also enjoy a civil conversation on any matter. However, what I have experienced are uninvited and unwanted one way, hyperbolic comments over assumptions someone has made about me based upon a sticker, the vehicle I’m driving, or some other nonsense issue the other person has decided they are going to set me straight about. I once got a lecture over my GN4WHLN tag and all the environmental damage I apparently was responsible for. I don’t respond to any of it. I just don’t get what’s wrong with some people.

I’m willing to talk about anything but I tire of the call out culture who think it’s their right to come at what they believe are wrong doers or thinkers. Now the stickers go on my roll around or garage cabinets.

I think of it as a don’t feed the bears situation.

I agree...and call out culture comes form all sides...

for me, the people who are just making hyperbolic comments are usually not worth giving the time of day...they probably can not argue/enlighten much past the initial comment anyways...they are just spewing "copy rhetoric" as I call it...copying stuff they have recently encountered (usually) in social media

Stickers or are they vinyl? Actual stickers on glass will start peeling up within a year, look like garbage, and you'll eventually scrape them off. Vinyl will last for years.

Like my silver and black ARB sticker? That thing did not make it a year. I peeled and scraped the remains last fall or so. Ima redo my stickers soon.

I agree. I ignore people who like to turn up the volume; nothing can be accomplished with them. The copy rhetoric seems to be pervasive. It's as if they all got the same memo directing their actions. There certainly isn't enough thinking or original inquiry. It's just a lot of copy and paste blather by persons who don't distinguish feeling from facts and regard their opinions as if they are the laws of physics. Hive mentality. It does occur on both sides of the argument. I try to maintain an awareness of my one own biases, feelings and perspective origins. I look critically at information, especially what comes from whatever side I might align with on something. I temper that with the understanding the world and people are imperfect.
