For a compressor that's left on all the time then I like them.

For a compressor that is turned on and off as needed I just manually drain it. When done and turned off just let the tank depressurize and blow out the water.

The auto drain is not needed on compressors with low duty cycle like the average joe homeowner.

My recommendation is to use the cards before there aren’t any Sears left. I have two craftsman torque wrenches, prob 10-15 yrs old and work good. I don’t know what they have anymore. I think everyone needs the long hex bits, fits in areas better than an extension and short bit. With hex bits tight spaces always seem to be the case.

Can’t like that enough. Better yet, stick on two. Had a similar distilled water bottle once someone accidentally swapped with a Methanol one. Results coulda been fatal.

I figured the big "acetone" label on the bottle is enough lol. I'm the only one in my garage.

that may be, but label looks "generic" that came on the bottle. I have plenty of people I know that wouldn't give it a second thought, they have no idea what acetone probably is nor its molecular composition. Make something idiot proof, and the world will build a bigger idiot. Hopefully your friends are smarter than mine LOL

Having friends that "help" you in the garage isn't all it's cracked up to be. Nothing like other's burning up all your consumables, materials, and leaving you with a mess.

I'll get the "hey while I'm here, can we just rebuild my entire front end since you have a lift?" type requests

But I want to regear my front and rear ends... Don't worry I'll order the parts as soon as I get the axles out!

We have one auto drain compressor at work and it gets unplugged by students all the time to use the outlet.... the other 7 are either portable or bolted to pallets to move outside and drain at the end of the semester when the oil gets changed. It’s an all afternoon affair twice a year. Before I came to work, we had one compressor with 15 to 20 gallons of water in it. That was my 3rd day at work. It has been retired and parted out.

the top of my personal toolbox hold all my measuring tools. I have a 1960 powerkraft box that I fixed up from an estate sale.

I can beat that. I’ve had a craftsman compressor for over 10 years... I don’t think I’ve ever drained it.
