    Afternoon all:
:woot: Just saw that the stimulus check was deposited in the account, now I can call the tax preparer and tell her to send in this years taxes.
All legal, they went by the most recent tax return they had on record which was for 2019, now I can use that money to replace the additional medicare cost I will pay after filing this years taxes. :(
As stated prior, their rules and should be good to go, I THINK!!!

Midwest makes good stuff. I have their transfer switch on a generator/house panel circuit.. has operated perfectly for years. It's even olive drab.
Actually used it today.. wind storm blew through a few hours ago, knocking out a substation and power to 560 homes. No problem for us.

Your flintlock pistol story reminds me of how I originally lost my hearing in my left ear (I'm left handed). All I could hear for many years was my tinnitus. I finally outgrew it, but remained deaf.

Today was a bad day for us. Miss Kitty is now in a small box, awaiting her final resting place in the garden tomorrow. She had a good long life with us for the past 18 years, having adopted US at several years of age. It was time, she had been blind for the past year, skinny, and yesterday became paralyzed in her hind quarters. She was not in pain and enjoyed her sunny morning in the garden before we took her to the vet and stayed with her at the last. We don't know if or when we'll get another kitten. :(

I know your pain. They are like our children, they are family, they are a part of us. Letting them go is one of the toughest things we do and each time is tougher than the last. I take solace knowing I showered them with love and gave them the best home I could.

A little something every chance we get.
Sorry Alan, I know the pain. Our Cuda Cat, who adopted us early on, used up every one of his 9 lives with us, and we loved him for that. He was long a three legged cat; losing a 7 lb hind leg hanging on a fence for nearly a day! Our neighbor at the time, a DPS officer, got him down off that fence and to a vet, and for the week he stayed at the vet, he was a rock star - the Trooper came every day, our kids and friends from school, and us as well. He got along just great on three wheels. In 2019, he just finally started leaving us slowly, until the last he was happy. Then one day on my lap, he gave me permission to let him go. I held him too, until the very end.
So, now, it's the wife's turn for a dog, after decades of cats....

Everyone, I thank you so much for your condolences. I have a new understanding for those who have lost as we have today. Miss Kitty was as independent a cat as could be, then increasingly dependent on us to the end when she lost virtually every self determination. She maintained her dignity, and purred her appreciation for us being there for her needs and her simple pleasures. For those who may think it a relief for caretakers, I'm thinking that a caretaker's sense of loss may exceed that loss of no dependence. Just a cat, yes, and an expected outcome, but we sought no relief and miss her needing us so. I'm sorry to burden your thoughts over a pet, but yes, very much a member of the family, and we very much needed Miss Kitty to need us.
