Any pics of the underside of the Eastwood ramps? The old style (Blitz) Rhino Ramps had extensive reinforcement. The new style is devoid of that reinforcement and it appears that the design is more likely to fail. Race Ramps are beyond my budget now and if I'm not satisfied with the Eastwood version, I'll just make a set from 2 x 10's. The down side is that they'll be a lot heavier but that is offset by the fact that they shouldn't fail.

Ya, I feel your pain, I got tired of the cheap shit on the market so i made my own, Ya they are a little heavy, (but not bad} when not in use I stack them, (photo if requested) I am an older guy (70's) and can slide under the truck or car with ease, very simple design, you won't regret it! jmop

Very nice!! I like the 2 piece design. I also love the cement floor! To me, that is a luxury I must wait on. Wrenching in my gravel driveway is like laying on a bed of nails. I'm older as well and it beats me up pretty good.......

    Same crap everyone else got
Probably the same set I have. Only car I use them for is my mustang. Jackstands for the Tacoma and 4runner if I even need them at all. Oil changes are done without anything for both those vehicles.

Those are nice. The issue with ramps is the angled part is in the way. Solved that problem with those.

I had bought the race ramp wheel perch things but they were too tall for me to use.

    Wow....$28+ for that!!!

I use a flattened cardboard box. Its my creeper. Gives some insulation against the cold ground, some cushion and if it gets nasty......garbage. Easy to replace because my wife hoards Amazon boxes.

It’s a small step above cardboard. The foam padding inside should be stiffer. It’s nice to not roast your nuts. And it doubles as a makeshift umbrella.

Simple method to avoid roasted nuts.

Wear baggy shorts and no underwear. Let the breeze waft through. :thumbsup:o_O

I have never needed to use a ramp for any work on my Prerunner although I see where it could be needed on a 5 lugger or a car.

When I do need to pick up the truck I use a jack stand as I'll be removing a wheel for something.

I'm using an old patio lounge pad (quite plush) and an old toboggan pad, but I find myself working half off it because it's difficult to reposition. When I find I might be moving around a bit I throw a cheapie tarp down. I do have a Bone creeper but it still gets stuck and is difficult to move around.

An asphalt or concrete driveway would be heavenly.....

As I've gotten older I find I use the ramps more than when I did when I was younger. They allow me to reposition myself easier and afford a wider field of view. I'm not as strong as I was when I was 20 and now at 65 I also find myself using longer ratchets and cheater bars to break bolts loose and ramps allow me to use some of these tools. Ten years ago I could easily keep one foot planted and raise the other to chin level. No more. Years of abusive physical work have taken a toll and now I'm paying the price for it. It's also a function of getting older. I adjust and try to work smarter and not harder. It's challenging at times.

I'd recommend buying a sheet of 3/4" marine plywood to work on. It'll help a lot with the ability to roll your creeper around and not lose shit in the gravel. Also with the Marine Plywood you can leave it outside and it won't rot very quickly. If you can store it under cover you can get by with standard plywood. It's so much help when working on gravel or dirt.

I hear ya man....I still can change oil (Fumoto valve - no ramps), a brake job, routine maintenance etc. Now I find myself looking for a "do it for me" resource. Fortuneately, retired comfortably enough not to have to do everything for myself. I still struggle with trusting someone else's workmanship, doing a job I used to do myself.

I was lookin into getting ramps. I would feel comfortable under a Tacoma on them because it just gives more room to work. If they fail you aren’t crushed. I would never get under a car on them
