I'll have to check it out (both things). A few days ago I finally asked Mat for tune pack, he sent the link the very next day.

Before flashing OVt thx_33, I ran UltimateDaily tune for a few days, but it was way too aggressive for me. Now this one seems bit too mellow, lol. But then again, it's been only three days.
I'll check out the 35" files and see how much (if any) difference will they make.

That is definitely the best way to go. Test different versions to find one that you like.

I would highly recommend doing a bit of digging and making your own edit. It was a big deal for me and took some iterations, but dayum.

Also, the Perf and Tow tune will be coming.

Alright.... Got techstream installed - couple questions. I get a critical update message when trying to connect, can I mitigate this by turning off WIFI or does it need to be on to work? Second, I learned my truck is running 04B40, but there is no link on the 04B41 ECU file on here, only the 04B42. So would it be worth it to send Mat the ecu id and get the tune for my current version?

Also, has anyone seen the latest directions on Vf tune website for v1.2.9.9. Pages 19-21 show him updating the ecu through vf. And included within my vf download are .vft and one .vfc files. I know I already kind of asked this but im not sure anyone understood. It SEEMS like I could update my ecu by calibrating my ECM with it on the Vf Tuner application. I mean, if its in the directions on the website it has to right... right.????

Crap! Other than what @Shellshock said, I did goof up. You are right, there is no CUW to get from 04B04 to 04B41.

    My bad!

No worries, again thanks for the help guys. I’m just gonna roll with it and see what this ECU version will get me, until 04B42 has a tune tied to it

Is there a specific place to go to see when these tunes are released, maybe on the vftuner website? I'm just using a tune pack tune for my 04B41 but would like to experiment with other tunes at some point.

    Only Base for the ATs.

For the MTs, there is Base and SFOB (performance).

Just flash a different tune and drive it for about 150mi to see if you like it.

Hey guys, so last week as y’all know I updated my 2019 TRD sport to 04B33. I emailed Mat and let him know that I was no longer on 04B31 (this was last Thursday 3/25). Still waiting to receive the new tune packs from him but he’s a busy guy so I can wait, but I had a few questions to smooth up the process of flashing those files when I get them.

so I guess I’ll just list em off and whoever can answer them please feel free!
The files I’m talking about (in case I forgot to mention) are like the 87 performance tune, 33’s, 35’s, etc. (yes the ect was a pun lol)

    1. when I receive these files should I expect them to be sent via Email?
    2. When going to flash these files is it through VF or through tech stream?
    3. Are each of the files flashed individually or can you pick a few and flash them at the same time?
    4. Will I have to tell the VF tuner “app” on my laptop that I’ve updated to 04B33 (since I updated through tech stream) or will it see that when it reads my ECUID?

this is all I’ve got for the moment, any answers to these questions would be very helpful!

Yes email. Be sure to check your spam
They will be flashed with vf like all the other tunes
All the files are different tunes. You flash one of them. Flashing another will overwrite the previous one
No you just tell it what to flash

Not having the software makes wording this question a little difficult but how might I put all of those tunes into one file then flash that?

The tune pack is a bunch of different tunes (different options like regular / premium / gears / tire sizes / etc and combinations of the different options). Theres no need to combine them. They are all for unique configurations

What @Shellshock said, and all vF tuning is done with the vF software. Stock stuff and diagnostics are in TS.

Not sure if this belongs in this thread but did anyone skip the thx tune and keep their petal commander? I’ve had a petal commander on the truck for a little over a year now.

I'd skip Thx in general. Folks that I have tuned with a PC typically ditch it after a while. The tune is solid enough, even not using ECT. It doesn't hurt to try though.

On the topic of ECT, is it worth running the mild and wild tune? I really haven't heard much about it on here, I'm assuming it just increases where the shift points are?
