Thanks bud. The gap is 0.8mm and it's listed in the owners manual in the glove box. And no you dont need it, I didn't change the gaskets the first time I did plugs but I'm glad I did it the second time. The throttle body gasket was pretty deformed but the intake one was fine, I could have reused it, but I didn't want any leaks and figured what's $12 bucks?

Well, Toyota is replacing both front axles. 650 miles in on this truck! They said it was a “unique situation” so I’m assuming I was right about the cv boot clamps not being tightened from the factory. Who knows. New axles and the truck will be fixed, that’s all I care about.

I really would like to know though...

What does the usb port do below the 3.5mm audio jack?

It barely charges anything, and i thought you could plug a usb drive into it with mp3 files to play music but that doesnt seem to work either (did i do it wrong?)

So what does it do?

 

I use it to power my phone because I have a 16GB thumb drive in the dash USB. I thought it was just power, but I'm not certain of that.

 

Added a pair of mini bed stiffeners with stainless hardware this afternoon... from what I hear, they were made by someone on TW but I don’t know who. Wish I did so I could give him a shoutout! These things look and fit great! If anyone knows, tag him!

Some Mall Flexing

 

Finally worked up the nerve to do the viper cut. Huge thanks to @AsphaltQueen for answering some questions and linking the automotive trim HE used. It fits super snug and seems very durable. Very pleased with the results and not facking it up

 

I've been without my truck since Feb 8th after being rear ended I'm going thru withdrawals. I need my truck back!!! Body shop says it should be done this week. FYI State Farm is hell to deal with. Probably didn't help that I have State Farm and so did the person who hit me smh
