Thanks for the heads up. Was originally looking at the Kenwood DMX957XR but it's difficult to find. Considered the DMX1057XR but like the way the Pioneer 9" display fits almost within the footprint of the original head unit.

Tried with multiple iPhone 12 pros. The problem is with pioneer wireless receiver. It’s hit or miss if you get one that works. I tried 3 that failed. Even updated the head unit software. But android auto works fine. Just a weird flaw they have to work out at pioneer.

I wish the pioneer worked for me. It’s the best looking and has so many features. It looks very clean with no dials. Just like an iPad or Tesla dash. I just really needed it for wireless CarPlay, so I went with Kenwood.

Got the UHF antenna and Jeep mount bracket. Test fit on the alpha looks like it will fit perfectly.
Need to reroute wire loom on interior side of cross bar and then will mount antenna on that side.

(Disregard zip ties. They are temporary)

You won't regret it. I too had a little screw-you money kicking around recently and picked up some Seat Jackers. What a difference.

I've really gotta do this. I used to be the guy that would dump a couple grand into my systems. Then I got myself a family, lol. And a Tacoma with too many other fun things to do to it :D but the stock audio system kills me. It reminds me of the OE stereo in my bugeye impreza  .

One of the things I look forward to the most when I drive my wife's Ascent is the audio. It's not the best, but gotdayum it's night and day compared to the truck.

Once I financially recover from the RCI groupbuy and my recent wheel/tire upgrade, this is next on my list.

Same for me. Back in my younger years, I dropped thousands into my system. Now, with mortgages, daughter, college funds, not so much. Every free penny just goes for the next mod, and the stereo hasnt been much of a priority. One of these days, I'll at least do a speaker upgrade and maybe a sub.

I raised the back of the seat and for what little comfort is to be found in the small seats, it makes a difference. For me, I could not imagine raising the front, but mileage varies.
