Favorite Whiskey?

Bored is what the unimaginative do to themselves. Obviously you are not unimaginative if your drinking bourbon and taking pictures.

 

I went to a shithole grocery store and decided to give Eagle Rare one more chance. I tried too many times and just not a fan. I'll save the rest for anyone that wants to mix or do a shot.

 

This is one of my all time favs.

 

Finally cracked these two Wednesday night. Heaven Hill is good, both my neighbor and I agree the 107 is better

 

Crazy how different peoples taste are. I prefer eagle rare over tons of higher end bottles. Hands down ones of my all time favorites.

 

yes it is interesting. Not sure how to explain it. The taste reminds me of something unpleasant I would smell in a hospital. I have a lot of friends who love it though.

I had to just check again because I think my taste has off days. That's when I just switch to vodka lol

Got a few bottles yesterday. The JO is good but I’d argue there are far better options for less money.

 

Been working in the shop a lot lately and wondering if it's stupid or awesome (aka alcoholic) to use old whiskey tubes and boxes to store parts/hardware. I'm leaning toward awesome, what say you TW?

Why do I like Jefferson’s so damn much?

 

If any of you have Grand Reserve status at Total Wine and didn't win the Pappy/BTAC lottery last month, check your emails as they just released the unclaimed bottles to some lucky losers like myself. I got an email Wednesday saying I was selected for 2020 GTS which I immediately bought. I know of a few people who got ER17 as well. The deadline in the email to pick up in store was listed as April 8.

GTD is sooooo good.

 

JO is $115 here, which I’m told is damn near double other spots ($75 in Ohio, and lower further west). I didn’t think to price check across the river back home, and I paid for it.

Even at $75, I still feel it’s a bit high. I have had worst at this price point, though.

 

Yeah, I have a ton of scotch tubes that now hold nuts, washers, bolts, etc.
Ditto for peanut butter jars and coffee cans, though.

 

They have it here in the chicago area at costco for $66

 

I tried this years ago on vacation. A fellow TW member mentioned it and I had to find it. Don’t laugh, it’s a good sipping whiskey.
