Great thread, and very cool post. Hoping I can pester you with a question: Why is the bed so far back on the trailer frame?

I plan to put a tool box up front.
Once that is on, it'll "fill in" some of the space. It will also still leave me a bit of room.

I kept going back and forth on a 23Zero Walkabout RTT and Tuff Stuff Alpha. Talked to a buddy that got a factory blem CVT for a steal, so that got me looking again. I ended up on Ironman's site. I'm sure they are bottom line RTT's, but they get good reviews. For $1500ish shipped, I can get the RTT/Annex and a separate "room". I will probably pull the trigger next week. For the price, I think it will give me time to see if I really like the RTT.

Thats not bad. I got my Smittybilt gen 1 RTT for $850 shipped. The annex is about $250 more if I wanted it. I got it bc it seemed like the bottom line of tents so I could upgrade it later on but honestly it’s been a great tent. I don’t want to upgrade. Been in snow, deserts, storms, has been awesome!

I watched a ton of vids last night and the Aussies seem to like it. I think it'll be fine for how often I'll use it.

The one thing mine doesn’t have I wish it did is the ladder hatch thing with the area behind the ladder. The Ironman one has that

That was one thing I wanted. I figured if it's raining, it'd be a bit easier/dryer getting in the tent. I could always strip down in the room and leave the wet clothes down there

Lol yea that would be pretty cool to not have to go outside. Would be neat to have a place to change but then again, I usually just strip down in the open, no shame:rofl:
