I saw where the aftermarket is making axles and trannies for the Ryft. Factory 2speed coming down the pipe. Hope it’s not a flop like the Yeti XL. Really has me intrigued with possibilities. Almost makes me wanna buy some stainless tubing and make my own.

Just got done trimming and testing. No more rub-rub. Need to do something similar to the TF2.

So I ordered the arrma mojave and saw a video of the traxxas udr and was immediately in love with the "to scale" long travel suspension on the udr. I canceled my arrma order and went to my local traxxas dealer and he had a blue udr demo for sale for about 150$ less than mrsp. Got two 3s batteries and the charger as well. I hate the blue and will be converting everything to the orange and grey fox body. This this is why to fast. I cant even use it in my sod yard. Just chews it up! Its awesome!

To the guys who have big r c trucks and cars, how much braking abuse can they take? I hate jamming on thr brakes doing 40mph even in the dirt. Im only used to cheap r c cars with plastic gears.

I hastily cut my new scx24. Just to fit bigger tires. It crawls 10x better now.

To make some round fender wells I used a piece of PVC wrapped in some drywall sandpaper. Then held it against my bench and rubbed the body back and forth until it cleared the tires.

I went from building my very 1st crawler which was my very first rc. Great build and thought it was great with a 2speed gearbox. High gear top speed probably 10mph. Saw this same URD and bought it. These things are stupid fast for an out of the box rc and suspension is awesome. I'm curious too about the breaking but it is a great feature.

The UDR is a great scale trophy truck. It's not a basher per se in the sense of taking it to a skate park and hucking it like a slash. Bombing through a desert or sand dune though and it's perfect and outdoes the slash in every way.

As said above, the UDR is not a basher. It's pretty durable but it's not going to take the abuse a slash would. It's by far the most scale driving trophy truck out there though. You need to get the Hot racing hexes ASAP though. The plastic ones melt. You'll also want the Vitavon Third member for the rear axle. It cuts down heat a lot.

I cant imagine how much a slash could take because good god I have tumbled and flipped this thing to the point that I need a new body and ive only owned it 3 days. Catching traction at 40mph on a paved road sent this thing spiraling. About 20 times.

It'll take rolls for the most part. Just beware of the trailing arms. They wont break, but they'll bend. RPM makes replacements for them. I just mean to say people tend to treat them like a basher and jump them 30 feet, which I can guarantee it won't make without some consequences. Awesome you're enjoying it though!

Man have I been having a bitch of a time with my RC4WD Trailfinder 2. That's a company I can safely say you guys wanna stay away from when it comes to the RTRs. Maybe the kits are better cuz you're putting them together yourself. Goddamn thing is NOT ready to run out of the box. For 500 bucks, you need to jump into the transfer case first thing to grease it up - cuz you'll hear this loud click coming from it. Then you might find that the diffs haven't been greased either. THEN you might find that the damn slipper clutch wasn't tightened down so you'll need to pull the servo to access said slipper clutch. I don't think any of that should need to be done on an "RTR." My Axial and Traxxas sure didn't need that extra attention and they were nowhere near 500 bucks.

You've heard correct. My vehicle started acting funny in the first 20 min of first using it and the damn screw that holds the axle to the hub had almost made its way out completely. Would've lost it had I not noticed.

Hey yall, I'm looking for an entry into rc, haven't had a car since I was a kid. I like the wpl c-24 because it's cheap and looks awesome and I see you guys talking about upgrades for them. I know literally nothing except I want one lol, so can you guys recommend some upgrades? Low hanging fruit first, if you don't mind. Thanks in advance.

    Links appreciated!
