I'm still weeping about selling 10,000 shares I bought for $0.24 for profit Feb 3...but I NEVER could have seen this coming...Hey I made $500

How do warrants work?

 

Warrants are similar to options. You can exercise the warrant and get a share in return, or you can sell the warrant.

 

im assuming since its a "dividend" I as a shareholder as of 4/1 keep the warrants, so even after i sell all of my shares for a short term gain in 2021, i can still exercise the warrants by their expiration in 2023, and cash in on the stock at 2.75. Itd be like holding a call option at 2.75 that didnt expire until 2023

 

So if you keep the warrant until 2023 if the price is above $2.75 You can buy the shares at $2.75 and sell them for whatever the price is then?

 

yup...or exercise your warrant between issue date (~8th of April) and 2023.

also it's a 10:1 ratio...i.e. 10 shares of GTii = 1 warrant @ $2.75

 

They are like an option to buy a share at a price...
For these the warrants are the option to buy 1 share of $GTii on or before April 8 2023 for $2.75 for every 10 shares you hold at close of trading 4/1. It works like a call option. Sometimes you can sell it to someone else, or exercise it. Your broker usually chargers a 1 time fee to exercise...so you'll want to exercise them all at once if you do

 

The weird thing about warrants is the INCREASE the share float. When you exercise them the company is literally issuing new shares to you at the warrant price. That's why you pay a fee...On legit stocks you usually hold them close to expiration because stock go up...and cash them in to beat the dilution from the rush...

It's worse...I HAD more and sold it for profit before they announced the dividend...I had 10,000 shares...Now I'm around 7,000 but would have had 17,000!

But in my heart I know there was no reason at the time for me to not take a 33% profit on a $0.20 penny stock
