    I generally recommend unedited tunes or tune edits that you do yourself. The editing is very easy using maps that folks have already tested and posted. See the Perf and Tuning forum or what was the AT tuning thread. It has become a cesspool though like all other AT threads. :rolleyes:

    @tonered is a MT.

    I’d ask @Mooseditty17 - he made it and knows all about it. I think he just had an updated version too.

    Agreed. Community tuning at your own risk. Some I’d feel more comfortable flashing than others.

    I have downloaded techstream and played a bit successfully connecting to vehicle. If connected to internet it locks and wants to update, do I need to run with connection off?

    How do I identify the ECU version of my truck so I can puck the correct update file?

    @4x4G

    Mild and Wild was designed to be a daily driver tune, and once you push ETC Power, the tip in is increased and shift points are raised for a much sportier than usual feel. It's a free tune, give it a run. Don't like it, flash back to whatever you were on.

    The update work around has been posted many times and is noted in the 1st Post near the installation step by steps.

    If you hit the Engine ECU after connecting, it will tell you all kinds of data including the calibration ID.

    Thank you. I will look for that. Btw, did not ask how to update I asked how to ID my ECU because I could not figure it out in TS. I have the instructions from 1st post.

    Yes. Once you connect to vehicle, you get the list of ECUs available. Picking the Engine, it will bring up the data for that ECU. I will try to get a screenshot later.

    Hey toner, I’m running a 3” block in the front, a 1” block in the rear, 33” mud terrains, and 17” wheels (they’re heavy). Other than that I’m on stock gears and have an intake and exhaust. What do you recommend me running for the files for 04B33?

    also in the files that Mat sent me there was nothing about mild and wild (mw) or performance tunes? - not sure if they are already the performance tune (sorry for my inexperience)

    At this time, I would say 04B33_Reg_35.vft . Always round up on the tire size tunes. All 2.0 Tunes are Octane Learning.

    Hi, thank you! I got to the long list of parameters for the engine ECU but do not see the ID number. Sorry to be a pain but just don’t see it. I don’t want to flash until I confirm it. Mine is 2018 and there are a couple possibilities.

    You're welcome!

    I was off a bit as I usually check it in vF / OVT, but:
    -- Connect to Vehicle
    -- From the Main Menu, select Health Check
    -- Only select the Powertrain ECUs
    -- Stay in Oflline Mode
    -- See the green highlight below for my 04B14 ECU.

    Success! Thank you!! I would have never figured that out. I was way off where I was looking. Successfully updated to the latest. Wow some scary messages flash on the instrument panel during the flash!!!!

    Also, one of the first screens in the calibration wizard does show the current ID. So if I was wrong it would tell me. It also looked like it checked the file to see if it was right??

    Yup.

    it won’t let you flash the wrong file. It checks the current ecu and which ones that specific file applies to

    You're welcome!

    With TS, you can typically poke around with impunity. Everything has a confirmation message, so don't fear it.

    The center stack is like that when flashing anything. Don't worry unless you see those and am not flashing.

    Yes. Tons of confirmation messages and info. Like @Shellshock said, you can only flash an applicable file. It is slightly foolproof.

    @tonered do you know anything about @Mooseditty17’s ability to raise the red line? On his guide I tried it and then reset everything and tried it again but have had no luck.
