M&B has several varieties of SW. I stopped by there today and picked up a Yamazaki. They had a store pick High West (label pic of Bruce Willis in a scene from Die Hard and something about not "Yippee Kae Yay mother***". Thought briefly about it but passed.

I've been thinking about that store pick just because of the Bruce Willis scene, and I need a new bottle to have in my office and think that would be a funny one to have - I just haven't enjoyed any of the High West products I've tried.

CEO is retiring today. Told him I’d bring him something special to sip on.

Hahah last time I brought in whiskey, he was asking about pricing and I was telling him retail vs secondary and he offered to pay secondary for a few bottles I brought in. They take care of me enough though

I still have a bottle of the gold label left from a trip to Japan two years ago. Brought back two "Straight from the Barrel" three originals and one "Gold" label. And spent the equivalent of about $250 on all six. It is stupid the price it commands here.

It's crazy how inexpensive whiskey is in Japan. The original Blanton's was like $36 a bottle, the from the Barrel was like $50ish and the gold was somewhere in-between the two in price. Which is about what they are worth in my opinion. Just checked online to see what it was currently going for, And no way in hell would I ever pay $200 for a bottle.

So has anybody noticed your scotch or irish whisky prices dropping at all since they suspended the tariffs last month? In my area the prices are still super high.

Yes! Bought an Oban 14, Glendronach port wood and a Yamazaki 12 yesterday. A few weeks ago the Oban was in the $75 dollar range but now it's about $59. Hopefully they all come down soon.
