Just looking to eliminate the transmission... I'm leaning needle bearings but do a forum search here and read those threads. Most people the sound goes away with 4wd though. Is it definitely happening up front?

I thought it was but when I put my head near the back seat when it was making the sound I could’ve almost sworn I may have been louder. I plan on having a buddy drive the truck tomorrow with me sitting in the back so I can see if it is in fact louder in the rear. I’m willing to try everything to zero in on this sound so I can stop spending money on it.

Ok so update, so the sound still happens in neutral, it’s a bit quieter with 4wd on, it is definitely louder sitting in the rear seats, and its really only noticeable between 35mph-60mph anything slower or faster and it’s not noticeable .

Louder in the back seat... That's gotta be something with the driveline or the rear wheel bearings then. Not sure why 4wd would make it quieter...

Have you closely inspected the driveline and greased it?

I haven’t greased it in a while, I did add a carrier bearing drop to stop the driveline shutter I had from take off but nothing else seemed out of the ordinary.
