Well, tried the lube on the door seals. Still had the noise. I hear it even sitting still, and even with the window down. Drove to Austin and back, very windy, and had it. Was ever so slight, and once I was traveling at highway speeds, couldn’t really hear it. VERY bothersome. Next I’ll try to tweak the door frame as suggested above, if that doesn’t fix it, I’ll look at adding something to pump up, fatten, the seal. Really don’t think the dealership will be able to “unable to duplicate the customers complaint”. So, that will be my last resort.

I think I finally figured out the noise on my truck. I thought it was the door seal, but actually seems to the be the seal that the window rolls up into. The sound comes from the front part of the seal, a few inches before it turns 90 degrees to vertical. Pressing on it changes the noise, and I put a small piece of fabric on the inside lip of the seal, which has almost 100% fixed the sound. Most likely going to put on window visors as a more permanent fix. If anyone wants I can take a picture to give a better idea of what I am talking about.

Thought Toyota fixed this issue with newer models by now by giving y’all thicker glass Windows. Guess its still a problem. The seals around the window likes to catch air which causes mine to whistle at +85mph or on windy days. My In channel window visors seemed to help a bit. Also heard putting 1/4” aquarium tubing into the first 12” of the front window weatherstripping also helps prevent it from collapsing from the air pressure.

I had a 2014 Limited and had a wind noise that drove me nuts! Took it in several times to the dealer, they could never get it fixed. I found options on this site that I tried. Nothing worked. Moved up to a 2017 Limited. Not a single whisper of noise. Now I have a 2020 Limited. Lucky me, I don’t have the same noise as I did on the 2014, I have a new one to chase down.

To see if this is your problem you can press around the area of the seal I have an arrow pointing to and see if it changes the hissing sound. To fix it I cut a thin strip of t-shirt, folded it over to make it thicker, and placed it in the window seal as shown above. You can just peel the seal back with your fingers to put the fabric in.

JCH, the google gods sent me to your post and it WORKED. I had been fighting this wind noise and trying everything for the better part of a year. One piece of felt from my wife's sewing room, totally gone.

Glad it worked for you! The sound drove me up a wall until I finally figured it out!
