So I cleared the codes this morning when I got to the parking lot at work. Idled for approximately 10 mins from then before going in.

I'm going to assume that at this time, the sensors would read as not ready? The driving cycle or some sort of driving behavior equivalent to that needs to be done for it to change to ready? And so in this presumed 'not ready' status that it's in, at some point it'll either change to 'ready' for a short (probably) time before the codes return or it'll just stay as 'not ready' and the CEL comes on?

Am I understanding this process correctly?

I just wanted a way to not have to worry about stupid annual inspection every year, fuck. Lol...

Imagine a high flow cat and a tiny cat with the same (presumably) density ratio of the real deal not working lol smh

For the record, I still do need to also get home and get under there to confirm that the spacers aren't simply loose.

Is your new commute longer? I would say that readiness checks are not complete yet.

Not ready sensors will not necessarily kick out a CEL. It is more likely persistent PIDs that are out of range or multiple readiness items that cannot be Completed.

    Agreed. I am surprised also.

You should be able to get there. Get the OBD info will ease the frustration.

Yeah my drive to work has increased to 17.5 miles according to my trip readout in the MFD.

It's about 3 miles of not really stop and go, but varied speed of 20-45 mph and then I hit the highway and do 65-80, then a final half mile to a mile or so of 20-25mph.

When I installed the spacers over the weekend, I did a drive of 35 miles, nearly entirely highway, and then my drive to and from work yesterday. The cel came on just as I was finishing that 3 mile initial stretch on my way to work this morning.

I'll see what my own OBD scanner shows me I guess and then determine if I need to order one of those adapters to use with the torque app.

It should have Readiness info. Probably buried somewhere.

Oh yeah. It sounds like you are pretty close to the drive cycle. You'll probably get a confirmation on the way home.

At what point should I bother attempting to view it? Like I said, I only just cleared the cel (codes 0420/0430) and then idled a bit.

So I imagine it still says not ready. Drive home and then try incrementally?

If you can find the screen in your HH, you should be able to monitor it while driving.

    It should be somewhere there?

    You're welcome!

Once you get an app set up, it is great for general monitoring.

Well shit, I’m in an emissions state too. I’m hoping my new tune coming should take care of all codes and not have to worry about this. Am I just being an optimist here?

Personally I'm not optimistic because I'm assuming that the map revision will just have the sensors turned off. The only person who can clarify is Mat/ @OVTune

My area doesn't do emissions like a sniffer test or anything, but they will check for CEL and if the sensors are ready/not ready

I'm guessing once other kits arrive and get installed we'll have other people helping to identify a solution.

Mat has the TRD exhaust on the R&D truck too. The only differences between my exhaust and his are my y-pipe (his is the OEM pipe) and he's running the catless downpipes for the kit, mine are the catted ones.

Same here on emissions, they just hook into obd. Although I must say, I think I’d fail a sniffer test, I’ve got a lot more fumes now.
