You're never too old, and to prove it. The first time I test drove a Toyota Truck was in 1986, so at the time I had saved up enough money for a down payment on an SR5 4x4. Well being too young with no credit history I obviously was denied. So I bought a 1972 Pontiac Ventura with the intent to restore it.

Fast forward to March 2021, I was planning to purchase a Lexus IS300, at this point I have had only driven sports sedans, from the Acura TSX, Mercedes C300 and a BMW 335i. The only trucks I had driven ever were my uncles work trucks, I remember it was a Ford and it had a Detroit diesel engine.

I test drove the Lexus, and after I walked around it and thought, there is no way this car is going to stay looking this nice in rural PA. So out of curiosity, I went back to my childish dream of have an off-road capable vehicle, but the adult side of me, which I don't listen to often enough wanted a car that was practical. Hmmm.

Being a professional photographer, I wanted a platform that I could carry all of my photo gear, and anything else I needed for the what ever adventure I could plan. So here I am with a 2021 Tacoma TRD Offroad in Silver, and this is my first Toyota ever.PA NBerks WiS Oct2020.jpg

I think you made a good choice. I have had nothing but trucks for over 35 years because they get things done.
Here is a guy I follow who is also a professional photographer and bought a Tacoma to facilitate his photography business. He and I tread a lot of the same ground and have chatted a bit.
