Thats an ok price for a base model 2.7L 4x4 manual 1st gen with owner applied TRDSport decals. It would be a decent year-round DD here once you get better tires and replace the UV damaged headlights and smoked to hell, non-functional tail lights.

I purchased a Denver 3-rod vault off Facebook for $200 and messaged Thule (recently acquired Denver Outfitters) and after 5 months of struggle to locate the broken pieces to mount old fly vault a rep. sent me a brand new thule 4 rod vault for free because the previous model 3 rod vault no longer had repalcement parts manufactured. It was so lucky and have to appreciate the service!

Even back in the titan rod vault days their plastic stuff failed pretty easily.

So how much is your old one? With some epoxy and DIY, I'm sure @andrewtheadventurer or @Kerbouchard! could get it to work for them :)

I actually ordered an enclosed case that can hold fly and spin rods. It also can act as a cargo storage case.

i feel all of these attributes are missing with most cases and this is the only one i found like this in the market.

I prefer the cross-functionality of it. I plan to sell my snowboard holder and use this for snowboarding in the winter too.

I have talked to the rep and it is actually 9’7” exterior length and he confirmed a 9’ rod will fit with no issues.

Below is the site I purchased from:

    https://www.backcountryracks.com/inno-rod-box-fishing-rod-carrier/

This box has been on the US market for less than 6 weeks. Produced by a japanese company that is popular in japan and they are emerging in the US market. So far, this is the only distributor i have found.

The Frying Pan is the same way, but just to tweak me someone always catches a big one in lower Flats/ Hog Trough where I can see it.

Did have an epic 25 min losing battle with a hog one evening on the Flats, he finally broke me off with a down river run. Didn't even give me a middle fin send off.

Haha I sold it the next day! I didn't know this existed or would have shared with the yota boys first! My roommate wanted it too but snagged same one I had for $200 last night off nextdoor.

If you are still looking I have 4 265/70/17 tires and wheels off a 4runner, I think it was a 2017, they were new take offs with a few hundred miles - that I picked up for my old 4th gen 4runner to run in the summer, wheels are in good shape and not many miles on the tires. Let me know if you want any pics!

edit I see you just said tires, my bad lol - if he looking for new wheels too let me know :bananadead:

Time to message each other before you start sharing places people don't know about.

Nice catch. I've fished up there in some COLD temps. Those high canyons don't let the sun in too early. One of my purdy Tay Tay catches:IMG_7468.jpg
