I had mine mounted on the plastic bed caps, then about last year I built a bed rack for my rtt and made some metal caps to sit ontop of the plastic cap. The foam melted into the top of the metal caps and I had to scrape them as well as repaint them. I think the foam is just overly soft so it seals better but that comes at the downside of doing what you are now experiencing.
I thought about asking softopper to send me another set but figured it would just happen again so I went with stuff I could source locally.

I've been having the exact same issue and I'm basically being told theirs not much I can do about it. One shop said they would look at it, but for another $100 alignment. :frusty:

got the OME 884 springs, Deaver AAL, and Bilstein 5100s installed. Pretty happy with the stance.

Here it is alone and then one next to the stock 3rd gen SR5 at my office.

Fixed my left rear window. Window got stuck halfway down. I pulled the door panel off to diagnose before realizing I could swap the passenger side switch to test if that was the issue...rolled right up.

Since I have the panel off though, I figured I might as well throw in some speakers. The passenger rear has been blown for a while. I got a pair of Rockford Fosgate speakers for about $50 on crutchfield, including the quickconnect harness and adapters. That seemed to be a deal worth taking in my eyes.

In the next couple weeks I'm getting the roof repainted. The truck is fine but the California sun beats up the roof specifically on these trucks. I'll have them tackle a few other scratches while they're at it.

I plan to sell the truck in 3-6 months. I originally planned to keep it roughly 4-5 more years, but family life is showing a full size would be good at this point.

Took the front end apart to do a few things.
    - new headlights (had a ton of condensation in one)
    -larger transmission cooler
    -cab mount bushings
    -steering lines

looking forward to doing the bushings, they’re all pretty bad. This is the drivers side radiator one

Nice. I did my radiator core support bushings in the fall. The stock ones looked awful, like yours. My bushings under the cab were fine though

Solid plan. I also bought the poly kit, but I ended up doing a cab mount relocation on the front cab mounts and that kit came with it's own bushings. So far I haven't gotten around to doing the rear ones. One day, though!
