SDHQ billet battery terminals and LCE billet oil cap installed. I also used this as an opportunity to clean up/shorten some of the wiring on the driver side for the air compressor and aux fuse block

Thanks man! yeah i can’t decide what i want to call this thing lol. Keep going back and forth, but im just gonna keep it simple for now. If it ends up eating another head gasket, i think ill have to incorporate that into the name somehow

One thing I've never cared for with the TRD exhausts on the Tacos and Tundras is the hard 90° turn at the tip. Looks better exiting at an angle like you did

 

Yeah i've never really been a fan of that either! The good news is changing from a turn down to a side exit has helped with the exhaust noise in the cab some. Drove in on the hwy sunday and there doesnt seem to be hardly any drone now

 

Well i just bought a regular battery a few weeks ago, but after changing to aluminum terminals i decided an AGM was the safer route to go so the acid doesnt eat them. So i went to walmart and got an everstart 24F AGM. i was limited to what size i could get bc the URD sc intake piping on the driver side likes to get in the way. This one should be similar size or smaller than the stock 24f so hopefully it works. Got a Coupe battery tie down too.. ill post a pic later today once i get everything installed

 

Got the battery and Coupe tie down installed. Used blue loctite on the adjustment screws for the battery tie down so i dont lose those pieces. For the price, this is really a bargain for such a quality piece, i cant recommend it enough.


The intake piping and battery are a tight fit, but there’s just enough room. I might take the cold side intercooler coupler off this weekend and trim it for a little more clearance.

I also reflashed the MAPECU3 last night with the URD tune and a little more fuel on the 7th injector that I added. I was running a more conservative tune just to be safe. It's been about 600 miles since the head gasket was done and everything is still holding together like it should so it looks like this battle may actually be over finally

That was my reasoning for a sealed battery.. i didnt want to pony up the dough to replace that and the terminals
