I live in the OFFICIAL BBQ Capital of TX, but that said, there are now just a TON of great joints almost everywhere. Pick the city or town you think you want to eat in, and let everyone know. They will tell you where. Only downside, is sometimes they sell out!

Backwoods bbq is good. Its in fredericksburg if you head up this way. Their jalapeno cheddar sausage is top notch

Now were talking. Now with that being said we are going to miss the huge antique sale in Round Top, would love to find some place to score some items on the way home. We dont mind the drive for some great food either.

Well, OK. Reader's Digest version of the project. Last seen was a first pass with a tiller on Sunday. So, Monday was two more passes to get rid of the Augustine, then make some pathways. Finished that in time to watch the dirt race, which was fun and interesting!

Today was going to be a breeze - but putting the edgers in was ridiculous. I used the EdgeHog to score a secondary trench, ended up using the sawzall in the dirt to get it to accept the edge! The shot peen hammer to start, a 4 lb. Engineers hammer I bought to get deeper, and a sledge/ax with a 2x4 to finally pound it down. Which meant doing the pavers over. Oh well. That done, put in more square pavers for pots, raked out and mulched the open area, and there we have it!

Key Lime, Myers Lemon, and Valencia Orange (L to R). I moved the "good" pots from the greenhouse in between, and will eventually sort to have smaller ones there.

Looks good Kurt, just add a few more pavers and then there will no grass to mow...

The wife, who didn't listen to the plan at all, was under the impression I was going to pave that entire strip!

I have a shit load of flower beds here, way too time consuming and wasted time, our next house will have zero flower beds. They are in bad shape from the freeze and contain a ton of weeds, I just started on them this week, the first section took almost entire day, I figured it will take 6 or 7 days to clean them up, I'm not replacing any plants, plants will get replaced when we're ready to move, even if that's 5 years from now.

Just might have to do that, haven't ever flown kites with the kids, so that's a great idea. I did hate kites when I was little (younger :D) though, could never get them off the ground
