    Hey all,

I'm having an issue with my bluetooth in my 2013 non JBL doublecab. It keeps skipping/cutting in and out when I play music, maybe every 15-20 seconds. Drives me freakin' nuts. It's to the point where I was about to buy a brand new head unit with apple carplay. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen life events, that will have to hold off... for now.

This only started to happen when I upgraded my iPhone to the 11. I changed the media output from vehicle to device and visa versa in Audio Settings. That worked for maybe a day and now it has no affect. I deleted and re-registered my phone to the car, to no avail. For some reason my girlfriend's iPhone 10 doesn't skip/cut at all! Maybe it was the registered device order? Made her's the primary and my phone the secondary... nope. And before you ask, no my phone doesn't do this in my other car, helmet headset or bluetooth speakers.. just the Taco.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there an upgrade for the head unit OS?

I'm not sure if the 2nd gen stock radios can be updated. I know the Entune one's can be, but just the plain Jane stock head unit there's no option/indication of a software upgrade (that I could find).
