How do I buy one of these brackets? I'm assuming they fit a Tacoma 2021?

    Thanks
    Carlos

Took 2 mins to loosen the bolt and 30 seconds to install.
Looks great! Material and power coat is top quality.

Well, my devise won’t turn into position. It looks like the circular part is too small. I also couldn’t remove to torx screw even with the punch and hammer trick and now the screw is stripped. Anyone know any way I can remove the stripped screw? Thank you.

That's strange cause each and every one are test fitted to make sure it is top notch.
I do offer a full refund, PM for details

San Antonio "5" or Mexico "3" built?

My VIN starts with 3, Mexico build. When they did the seam sealer the but a ton of it around the corner. The bracket doesn't slip in as it should. I could remove the tailgate and razor shave that seam sealer, but cuts through the paint when you do that. So I'll use Christian's bracket as a template, and make a unit from 4130 tubing to duplicate the function.

Not the best photo, but seem the sealer was thin; less than 1/8" inch on the flat, but super thick like 3/8" on the corner.

Mine is built in Mexico. After many attempts, I was able to slip the bracket in. Unfortunately, I stripped the screw on my tailgate and can’t take that devil of a screw out. Tried impact driver and stripped screw removal kits but no go. I’m going to take a break before totally calling it quits.

Same here. Used a stainless still shim, so I could get the bracket in. Stripped the head of the torque screw (T40). I did get the electric tailgate lock installed.

IMO, since there have been reports of the Torx screw getting stripped perhaps the vendor could supply a SS Torx screw with the anti-theft device?

    Great product, highly recommended.

Got the bracket and SS Torx screw. I stripped the OEM one trying to get it out. Time to dig out my reverse twist drill bit (use a dull one, so heat and vibration help back out the screw. Having a T40 Torx strip on me seems like they used Loctite RED on those hinges.

Absolutely incredible product and gives me the piece of mind when I forget to manually lock my tailgate. Thank you @christian06 for an amazing product and helping me out! When removing the old screw as well as installing the new tamper proof one I opened my tailgate about half of the way and then was able to fit my ratchet in there and was able to get it out no problem but it did let out a terrifying shriek when I first was able to break the screw loose but otherwise effortless install.
I opted for the T45 tamper proof screw and painted it black to have a more refined finish on the tailgate as well as went with the Blue Powder Coat and I am extremely satisfied with how it turned out.
I went ahead and clear coated everything to try to make everything less likely to rust but only time will tell on that.

Thx for the kind words my friend, the T45 is stainless so it wont rust, but I do like it painted, I should have powder coated it as well, hmm
