The 12-15 is generally regarded as the better looking headlights coming at the cost of a goofier looking front bumper.

I feel like the body lines look better 12-15. Grille/hood/bumper. All of it. 05-11 is more bubbly

Any of the ones that haven’t turned hazy or faded.
Those are the ones that look good. The best are the ones that stay clear for ever.
Let me know when you find some, I’ve restored mine 2x now.

I had a 2011 TRD OR with factory smoked lenses, looked great

When I got my 15 I realized the foglights on the 05-11 are huge

I don't care as long as it has the amber DRLs

I like how dated the 05-11 front ends look these days. They are starting to look like “older toyotas”. I’m biased because I prefer older toyotas over new ones anyday. That said I love my 2008 it’s great.

12-15 has better headlight assemblies and significantly higher performing fog lights as well as no issues with the DRL. I personally prefer the 12-15 angled look as more aggressive over the earlier 2nd Gens.

05-11 looks a bit more grouchy because of the grille shape while the flat faced 12-15 looks a bit more modern. That being said, I like the 05-11 in all trims, but only like the 12-15 in the Sport and Pro configuration.
