    I'm digging into Google search.
I would rather buy new, then reboot the OEMs for spares.

    I need some assistance, please.
    I bought a pair of the TO8043ET CV's through O'Rielly's.
Now I need to know, what the part numbers are for the inner (Left and Right side) seals.

I'll speak mildy. O'Reilly's help, they don't know WTF they're doing. At least, the one in my area.
I'm so pissed right now, it's cocktail time.

Could you give me a direct link to the Toyota Parts Online please. I'd sure appreciate it!!!
    I need more str8 shots.

BTW, THANKS for the seal numbers!!

Wait, you're the dude waiting for parts like I do.

Since you'll be replacing your seals and cv axles, do yourself a favor and get some diff fluid to replace yours with, as well as washers/crush washers and a Lexus plug.

Use this site, otherwise you can go to an online parts store like McGeorge Toyota, and buy OEM parts at discounted rates.

Just make sure you undo the fill plug first.

It isn't torqued on tight, but its a hex so unless you clean out any and all dirt and debris, you can easily strip it.

I had no issue with mine at all but I did clean it out completely. Then I insert just the hex tool, and gave it a few whacks with a sledge. Think that was it to make sure it came off easily.

    20210120_114342.jpg

3/8 drive on the fill, 1/2 drive on the drain.

    Appreciate your assist.
I've been real meticulous, doing all that's necessary, to get my rig trail ready.
    Honestly, I've become overwhelmed.
I bought a gallon of Diff Oil already.
Now I need to get the drain plug and washers.

Well there's a difference between maintenance and trail ready.

I took 2 different rigs with over 200k miles on many different trips.

Hell, within 3 weeks of getting my 4Runner, I took it on a 34hr drive to off road in Moab, UT.

    Maintenance.

    I'll get there eventually.
Likely not to the degree you need to be for MOAB. I doubt I'd ever get the opportunity.
I will get there, for tooling around WA and OR anyway.

That's what I'm saying; you'll be doing more than me even, and I took my rig there as well as many other places lol

Don't worry about being trail ready, etc. Just keep up on maintenance and you're good.

You and I need to tip a few, buddy.
The internet is great for acquaintances, but it blows for being neighborly!!

So, the Axle Nut on the OEM CV's is 35mm.
    On the TO8043ET, it's 40mm.
I gotta ask, did you use the nut off the old axles, or did you go buy a 40mm socket?

I did buy a 40mm socket; it lives in my trucks tool bag as well as a 35mm socket (in case I reinstall a stock one or someone with me needs it).

I plan to do the same.
I ordered everything direct from the local dealer this morning.
He said they will be there in the tomorrow morning.

I'm done dealing with Jippo parts stores.

Did you find a Delorean to go back to the future in? :luvya:

I've got both CV axles installed.

Think I posted pics of both sides in this thread.
