Not to "toot our own horn" here, but in addition to the shocks coming tuned for your vehicle, you also get a free revalve for the lifetime of the shocks. This means, later down the road you rebuild the truck to be a race truck... yes, we will revalve it again for free, just send in the shocks. Also 25% off labor on future service work (rebuilds & repairs). Plus tons of support

Not necessarily. I consider "custom" anything that deviates from the original bill of material from the manufacturer. That said, just because it's "custom" doesn't mean it's a better product. What works for me may not work for you and visa versa. We're speaking semantics though.

I was using that as a specific example being the thread is mid-travel based. Apply the concept how you want. You're trying to argue when we agree in their service and support in adding value to the customer.

Which brings us back to my original post in justifying why you won't, or shouldn't be expected to, price match. The service & support is worth spending the extra money to most people as opposed to saving a few bucks.

You offer a more personal experience for the consumer which is why I'd recommend most to you vs the competition.

I ain’t arguing, I agree as well. I just woke up after my night shift. Which is known to make me sound cranky over the internet. Come on Shane, you should have known.

Edit: I know you’re just trying to help @fatfurious2 buy his Shocks already so he can start mobbin’

True true. Anyways, I think you got things under control in here. I’m gonna go cry next to my broken truck :angrygirl: Out of commission for one month as of today and looking like it’ll be close to another month before I even start working on it. Good thing is parts are starting to collect

I just have a case of the Fridays and want to talk truck stuff.

I felt that. Put mine down last night to send the diff off for evaluation. :annoyed: Pretty sure my gears are not happy so ECGS is going to take a look at them. Don't care what others say about them, I'd buy through ECGS again without question. Their customer support is great and they stand behind their product.

I'm going to use the down time to re-work the rear end a bit and hopefully pinch out a little more up travel. Re-doing the lower shock mounts, trussing the axle housing, and going to try and add some Jeep parts....kind of :gossip:

let me chime in here and say that Accutune matched and tuned the valving on my front King coilovers to the new King bypasses I got from them. Out of all the issues I had on my last run the performance of the shock set-up was on point and worked flawlessly over all the terrain I handed it. I would just go ahead and get them from them and have them tuned to your setup. All the extra service is just a great bonus.

Yeah talking truck is better than shoveling snow which is what I’ve been doing all morning. How long did you have your gears in? I didn’t even bother trying to warranty mine because it’s been 4 years and any search of my social media will show signs of “abuse”. But yeah ecgs does great work for mine to have held up through all that they did. This time around I’m going with someone local to AZ though. The only thing he has done for the last 25 years is toyota diffs. I asked him like a year ago if he’d do a Ford 9” if I went that route and he said no. Only toyotas. So I’m thinking I’ll be in good hands.

Reworking some of my rear while I’m at it as well. Taking some inspiration from the JD kit and flipping the shackle around to ditch the low hanger. Reading up on some leaf spring design articles and I think, just maybe if I am able to push the shocks forward off the axle a little more I may be able to get a true 20” of usable travel in the rear.

Then truss the new axle and i think I’m gonna try to ditch u-bolts and use some grade 8 bolts through the truss somehow. We’ll see how it all goes down once I start tearing into it.

I've had them for 3?ish years. Maybe a little more but still within the warranty period. I like to wheel the truck but I'm not too hard on it to the point where I'd expect this type of issue. We will see what they say. I'm really hoping to not have to look into other axle options for another couple of years at the least. :anonymous:

You're going much more in depth than I am but it's all in good fun. Hoping I can make the rear hold up to my expectations until I go into the next "phase" of the truck.

Going to be doing the JD relocation in the next coming weeks hopefully but we'll see what the schedule and budget allows. :curls:

I'm waiting for @fatfurious2 to start buying and selling long travel parts like he did RTTs so I can buy some bypasses at a discount.

was hoping to delay the bypass purchase, but the guy is just putting them into storage. I have not bought anything yet. Will come back to it after I pay for some other bills that came up

I may have a complete MT setup for sales here pretty good. TC UCA/RACE LCA, KING w/ Adjuster, and TC spec bypass. I may or may not have just acquired a +2 kit....

Yep, the one that had them still in the boxes. Already shipped and somewhat local. Grabbed a set of King coils too from Mike Toys he had from a warehouse they cleared out.
