At Kyles. He was nice enough to weld on the UCA gussets and the reservoir mounts came in, so threw those on as well.

    What wheels you go with?

I think gold or bronze would look badass on your truck. I like bright wheels though.... used to run white SCS f5’s on my old truck. Depending on how I feel about the gold, I may get them powder coated something extreme before I put them on.

MDB on an AG truck would look super good. I love the color. Goes from a chocolatey color in the shade to a nice penny color in the light.

Anyone here put in a synthetic lawn? If so, what are your thoughts? I know prices range from $5sq ft to $20/ sq. ft. We are considering putting in a small 500 sqft area in our backyard.

Seems to be a no-brainer, but reviews are mixed when it comes to how it handles pets. Some people seem have a urine smell that lingers, but others say that its a drainage issue and that the installer didn't do it correctly.

Clover lawns are getting quite popular. Low maintenance, doesn't burn from pets like grass. I'd lean toward that before synthetic.

Just looked up a clover lawn.. I think our front grass is partially made up of clover. Not sure we would like that in our backyard.

Im gunna keep doing research on the artificial stuff. If I can install it myself, I might do it. Seems like the hard part is base preparation. Don't think we would do it, if we have to pay someone. That cost is $$$. I could long travel another vehicle for the cost of that.

I’ve heard good things about the artificial. I don’t personally know anyone who has it.

I mean, if you have to pick between long travel and grass. Isn’t that an easy choice?

It is when you don't have long travel... When your rig is already complete, the choice is difficult. Maybe the Solo XLT kit?, but that would make my rig to wide for the trails around here :( .

Its quite amazing the choices and styles of artificial turf. Artificial x-mas trees have been the new norm for decades. Might as well move onto lawns. Hard part is finding a lawn made out of recycled products and made in the USA.
Synlawn is apparently made in the usa and the parent company is Astroturf.

    https://www.synlawn.com/artificial-grass-products/dog-pet-products/

My parents have some artificial turf that they installed themselves a couple years ago in San Diego. It is apparently still in good shape.. Again, I think the base layers are the key to success.

I did find an article about how someone living in SLC county had to rip out there artificial lawn since it violated some city ordnance rule. I guess over 1/3 of your front yard has to be "living". https://www.sltrib.com/news/2019/07/10/gehrke-salt-lake-city/

My neighbor did turf in their backyard. Most of their yard is concrete, pool, sport court, skate park, and then a maybe 15’x15’ patch of turf. They don’t have pets but have had many friends over that do and they let them use the turf for their business. It’s only been ~6months but it’s not smelly yet. The one thing I’ve noticed is the turf puts off a fair amount more heat than lawn does. Up north that may not be an issue, but down here it will get really uncomfortable to hangout on in the summer. You can see his turf in this pic, far left under the pergola(only pic I have on my phone).

I have heard the heat issue to be a thing. Not the most comfortable thing to have.
