I regeared with Yukon 4.88's, but I say 5.29's would be the way to go if you're adding extra weight.

    Like, so many.
I'm currently on 33's and would mind going to 34's, but I'm not looking to regear. I'll probably just stay where I am.

Yeah, it all depends on the driver. It's more peppier with the regear and OV tune.

I’ve got a performance tune. But I don’t want to regear.

Eh, steering rack is the only thing most guys dont do that you'd wanna do on 37's..... aside from the massive amounts of cutting and trimming lol

(assuming most dudes are doing spindle gussets, brake upgrades and regearing anyways)

2nd gen so the power curve is a little more friendly on the low end, idk how it is for y'all 3rd gen guys but i hear its not fun if you plan to crawl (or on the other spectrum are trying to race your truck). Im probably going to go for 285/70's just because i already have some weight on the truck and will be adding alot more soon... and while i dont have a crawl-box (yet?) i'd like for my low range to be... low. So i may opt for 33's until i can afford the regear and move straight to 35's or 37's.

but im here to gather as much information as i can, for future plans and possibilities.

The amount of fender trimming with these "34's" seems to be pretty minute, especially if you throw in a bump stop spacer and limit uptravel (i know i know). The 34's seems like a pretty good middle ground of size without *major fender trimming*

Just had one tire mounted 285/75/17 toyo AT3 on my spare wheel, get remaining installed tomorrow. I like the look so far, so we’ll see how the ride is.

    Your typical overlander mods
So it is possible to run these tires with zero offset wheels and spc’s! That’s great news! Thanks for the specs, will use these for when it’s time, thanks! That’s a relief.

Got my caster at 4.4/4.5, now no rubbing anywhere. Very happy with the way these 285/75/17s are turning out.

285/75/17 Nitto RG's on SCS Ray 10's. Very happy with the ride even with no regear. Maybe down the road but not looking to drop $2k on that.

Any thoughts on whether I will rub after CMC with 285/75/17 Toyo AT3s and 4Runner Pro Sema wheels? Wheel specs are +4 offset, 4.5 inch backspacing, 7 inch wheel. I don't want to run spacers.

Suspension scheduled in 2 weeks for a 2in lift in the front with kings/SPC UCAs and also CMC. Planning to run TRD 4Runner pro wheels until I can get a set of SCS F5s. According to Toyo, 7.5in is the skinniest wheel recommended but I've seen plenty of people run 4runner pro wheels with 285/70/17 which is the same width as 285/75/17.

Million dollar question there. Most of it depends on how well your alignment shop will do. I spent a week out on the trails around Moab having a good time. I have ADS ext front and JBA UCAs with caster basically maxed out with everything else being within spec. I have a good CMC job and pinch weld fold/smash job. I did not rub there. At full compression under not common situations. I rubbed at the top of the fender during compression. Only happened twice. I also cut up plastic towards the front on the bumper and the fender liner. So to answer your question. It all depends on if you off-road the truck and how good of a job you did to prevent rubbing

oh yeah. My tires are 285/75/r17 Toyo AT3. On black rhino -12 offset 8.5” width
