Great looking truck! Glad I'm not crazy weighing these options (pun intended).

Awesome - added to the list of options for sure. Appreciate the feedback! Great looking truck, grey wheels are dope.

Very interested in what your experience is here! And whether you need to mod or cut anything. Precisely the other option I was initially thinking about.

I really want some Toyo AT3 but the ones I ordered from Discount Tire were made in Japan, so I swapped them for General Grabber ATX.

The Japan-made Toyo AT3's have a different, shallower sidewall. It's quite noticeable. The American-made AT3's have rich, deep grooves that look aggressive. I was hoping for US-Made but got Japan, thus the swap before installing. There is a thread about it on Tacomaworld, somewhere.

If they fix the sidewall inconsistency I'll definitely get some AT3's in the future. For now I'm very happy with the General Grabber ATX's.

You can get the KO2's in 265/75/16, they are only available in load range E

I ran 2 sets of these on my 2010 w/ 3" toytec lift
Sluggish and heavy with bad mpg but they are the best looking IMO
I'm currently running Sumitomo AT 265/75/16 passenger load range with this lift and pretty happy so far.20210327_113847.jpg

Please do! I am curious about this myself. I have the same wheels/lift and I'd love to know if 285s rub or not with that combo.

Added height made the 265/70r16 look tiny. 285 didn't fit OR wheel so "had" to get new ones.

My shock/strut kit just showed up and can’t wait to install it. Has anyone used OME or Dobinson springs with their kit? I’m wanting 1.5” of lift and am debating stock OR coils on the middle notch, OME 885, or Dobinson 302 coils up front and an AAL in the back.

I’ve read this whole thread and don’t remember seeing anyone with an OR posting their hub-to-fender measurements. Not sure if the 3rd gen OR uses progressive front springs like they did on the second gen Taco... I want to keep the factory rake and only plan on lifting the rear 1.5”

Glad Larry Miller in SLC was willing to ship just the shocks!

Looks awesome! How's the drive? Rubbing or any other mods you'll need to make to accommodate the 285s?

Only drove it home from the tire shop, which was 10 minutes away. No rubbing, even with the mudflaps on, but there also wasn't a lot of flexing going on haha. But it drives great and didn't feel any different that the 265/70-17's other than being slightly higher.

I have very slight vibes (had it with the 265s as well and not too concerned about it).

I'm currently running the Wheelers 3 leaf AAL in the rear and only got 1.25" out of it. I want to add more lift in the rear (debating between 1/2" or 1" block). I have both and an axle shim so I'll just need play around with it a bit. Also need an alignment. I'll report back as I put more miles on the setup.

With the mudflaps installed it’s very close but no rubbing without flex. Obviously it’s tight and would most likely rub in an off roading scenario. I’m also not sure how much extra room is there is without the mudflaps. I also plan to get an alignment and push the wheels more forward (more positive caster from LCAs) if possible. You be the judge...

My alignment stinks right now. No drive line vibrations. Also did ecgs bushing.
