    Ah. Okay. The base cal was still a night and day difference. I'm still surprised how off the tune was prior AFR tuning, but I was using the T4R/ FJ MAF and you indicated they may have tuned rich from the factory so I cannot compare apples to apples anymore.

    I would like to see some precise measurements between the OE T4R/FJ intake and the TRD version. I'm not convinced the "error" we had to dial out isn't due to some difference in MAF housing diameter between the OE and TRD intakes. But until that can be done, the T4R calibration data is the best baseline I have for someone fitting that FJ TRD Intake.

    Wasn't the factory tube ID the same size as the TRD version? I believe we discussed that a long time ago but I always thought they were the same and that's why it would not code unlike a Tacoma tube which if you changed out from it to a FJ/T4R tube you would throw a lean code.

    It's been so long that I can't remember what the deal was.

    Honestly I can't recall either. I wont rule out that Toyota calibrated the MAF the way they did as a safety feature, with the thinking that "if airflow is this high, something isn't right.."

    I have an FJ tube in my garage. I could always measure it and see what it's ID is. I think I or someone (maybe even you) wrote the ID of the TRD tube on this thread or the post where I did the conversion several years ago.

    Just don't get too overzealous with this new level of power to the wheels. Remember what happened to @nudavinci64 for going larger than OE on the tires.
