    Still thinking about it.
Please poop way out of sight and pack out the TP. I hear that’s a problem these days :).

Potash is a beautiful, easy drive with some opportunity to see interesting wild life (desert bighorn sheep), access onto the White Rim road (turn left) or go up Schaefer trail (turn right) into Diamond in the Sky/Canyonlands NP. Don’t miss Deadhorse State Park...no off-roading but easy hikes where you can look down on what you traversed by coming in through Potash.

Hook me up with beta. I'm probably gonna head back down to AZ through Utah. Pikes peak is shut down at the very top. You can get 13m up though.

I've been going to Moab on a semi-annual basis since '08 You'll have a blast!! Here are some trails I'd recommend:

Gemini Bridges then a trip to Mineral Bottom, which will require driving several miles on a boring, flat uninspiring dirt road, however the last mile gets real steep, narrow and has a few Switchbacks. Just watch-out for vans picking people up or dropping them off at the landing at the bottom.

Dead Horse point is hands-down one of my favorite places to go to in Moab; it's a must-do for me every time I go!

The back way into Arches is good and will help avoid some of the crowds which like to mob the place. I wouldn't do Chicken Corners in a stock truck; 90% of it is just rough dirt road, but there is one section which requires traversing an off-camber, sandy hill.

Shaffer Trail is awesome, though I prefer to go up it then to go down it, be sure to check-out 'Thelma & Louise Point' (it's where they filmed the final scene of the movie) it's off Potash Rd. as well.

If you have some extra time Court House Butte is worth seeing, however when I was there last October it was quite whooped-out and there are now a lot of restrictions on where you can travel. Real easy to get turned-around back there too.

I gave up on that place between the side x side crowd overunning the place like fire ants & the mountian bikers running thier handle bars down the side of your vehicle attempting to pass while your waiting your turn to climb an obstacle (they have the right of way just ask one) the $10 bags of ice, long lines EVERYWHERE $300 or night rooms (if you can find one) the entire town running out of fresh produce stupid liquor laws cops, BLM, forest service, highway patrol, sheriffs, EVERYWHERE & alot of them. Busting you for stupid shit like mudflaps, window tint, lift kits, front plates, tires sticking out 1/2" of your fenderwells, you name it in the pursuit of the almighty dollar

    You can keep the shithole............

You may as well head to the Rocky Mountain National park and go up over Trail Ridge rd, USA's highest continuous paved rd. Enjoy, sounds like fun!

EDIT: LOL, I live in Hawaii and forgot it's winter (kinda) time for y'all. Trail Ridge is closed!

You're not wrong; I've seen a lot of changes for the worse since my first trip there in May of '08. At this point it's an every-other year trip for my friends and I. I have found that going mid-week in May or October isn't as bad as the weekends (or Holiday weekends) are. If someone has never been it's worth going to but there are many other 'un-spoiled' places in Utah which are worth seeing as well.

Yeah, there are a lot of places in Utah you can go without putting up with that shit. I'm glad the word hasn't got out on them...it would be raptor lights and broken predator steps as far as the eye could see.
