New Geolandars mounted today. Thought someone might want to see a controlled photo of the size comparison.

This taco is a 2wd, 4cyl, 5-speed so you notice pulling away from a stop in 2nd is a little harder than it was with the 215/70 skateboard tires.

Looked at my speedometer vs phone GPS:
60mph (totally vertical speedo needle) indicated results in GPS 61 mph
65mph indicated results in 66 mph
70mph indicated results in 71 mph

This GPS app may not be super accurate, but I'm not worried about that. I typically don't drive it over 70 I just wanted to see if it was crazy skewed, and it's not.

Ride is good, maybe a little more plush than before. Does feel marginally higher up from the seat view. Most importantly, it looks like a reasonable little beater truck not a hideous failed mini-truck.

Other options considered but then passed on were:
    1. Fancy 16" alloys from discount tire warehouse plus bigger tires (search tuner wheels for a Camry and they have some nice options for 6 spoke motegi wheels for cheap). Cool but, comon its a 2wd and 4 cyl so its not going trail running anytime soon, the gearing would be worse.
    2. Generic 16" steelies from ebay for a Camry plus bigger tires. Sort of utilitarian cool, but it already has steel wheels, and only going up 1" diameter and 0.5" width is not really a huge payoff for what you're spending.

Those options ended up pretty near a grand (or more depending on the alloys selected). This tire swap all in, mounted was under $650 and it looks like a proper little truck and got maybe an inch of extra height.

Maybe a bit subtle in the photo, but looks MUUCH better in real life.

Subtle difference but looks more appropriate sized to me.

    Looks great in my opinion!
I have some 2008 rav4 17" wheels and they make the 5-lug taco look way better in my opinion. Obviously it cost more for new tires but it gave my truck a better stance/ look... Ill post some of my truck once i get home to show you guys.

I know thread is a little old but I have the same truck and probably gonna upgrade to 235s. Any mpg hit? I’ve been enjoying getting 24 mpg on the 215s. Do you drive in the snow at all? I think the geolanders have the 3 peak mountain snowflake rating

It looks like a monster truck about to be trailered.
