I'd like to build some cabinets and secure them to the C-channel in the bed. A long time ago I used a nut with a backing spring that would be pushed into the channel, then rotated 90 degrees. The nut was rectangular and two of the opposing points were beveled, which allowed the nut to be rotated 90 degrees but no further. The spring was compressed against the back of the C-channel and this would prevent the nut from both sliding in the C-channel and not falling out of the channel.
Is anyone familiar with such a nut that would fit in the Taco's C-channel?
    Thanks, Tim

I’ve only seen those spring type nuts used with unistrut. Not to say they wouldn’t work in the bed rails, just never seen that being used.

Most people just use T nuts to mount stuff in the bed rails, myself included.

Is there some specific benefit the spring nut type would provide in your plans?

These have to slide in, but it eliminates the need for a spring. And it would probably be more sturdy.
