Anybody know of a local, or even any company that has any bed racks in stock (or shorter lead times), that look similar to the CBI Overland rack/RCI 12" rack?

May end up selling my s&b cai and borla type s exhaust with black tip. Both a week old. Still on the fence... thought I’d throw out some feelers. Both make the truck sound great... just may go a completely different direction.

sb cai, $250 (330.00 plus tax new)
Borla exhaust $520 (620.00 plus tax new)

In SLC/Orem area. Curious if there’s an interest. Firm on price unless purchased together. PM me with questions

One warm spring day I found myself on the 50 yard line of a local high school's astroturf football field. The smell was terrible, a mix of BO, urine, plastic and rubber. I think if you planned to run a carpet cleaner over your project when it got stinky you'd be OK.

I'll have to admit it was my first time ever on that much astroturf and it was a disappointment. You're right beyond the smell it was hotter on the field than in the stands. I was thinking oh, cool, green grass. It was stinky, hot, carpet. But from a distance it looked good and sometimes low maintenance and good looks is all that's required.

I think it also depends on what you get because I have seen really bad astroturf where it definitely could ge tstinky and hot and generally not usable. But I have seen ones where they're pretty damn good. all depends I suppose on which brand/quality you get?

Yea, I have seen some crappy turf over the years. Ill report back when I go to a turf outlet and see what the story is. There is a park by my house with it in the playground. You can definitely see the worn in areas. I think the issue is the fact that you need to power brush the high traffic areas. If not, the "grass" blades will fall over. Since this is a city park, I don't see city workers actually performing this task.

If I had a larger yard, I wouldn't consider it. I guess one of the problems of living in the city..

I planted clover in our lawn last year. Highly recommend. It puts nitrogen back into the soil so we stopped paying for a lawn service. I did spend a bit more time weeding, but for the first time in fifteen years at this house we had tons of praying mantis, squirrels, and far fewer spiders and box elder bugs.

Bidding good bye to the Tacoma. Decided to grab a GX for the adventure rig. The extra cab wasnt cutting it for having the baby and the wife along with me.

Never heard of a clover lawn but it makes sense. Maybe I should throw some clover seeds in once my sod gets her enext week....

So, when I was a kid every lawn had clover in it. But in my research lawn companies found ways to spay for and kill all broad leaf "weeds" which includes clover. Utah tends to have "sweet" soil,.meaning the pH levels make it hard for plants and trees to extract iron, so we get yellow grass and yellow leaves on trees.

Clover helps out compete weeds, like morning glory, and helps grass and trees extract the abundant iron we have in our soil.

But lawn companies will tell you it's a weed, so they can charge you to dump chemicals that cause cancer, especially in dogs,.into your lawn.

Right now? The grass is still brown, but the clover is green (and super soft if you are barefoot, btw) but in the middle of summer, it just looks ultra green.

Added bonus, in the fall, you get little white flowers that the honey bees just love.
