@Delta09 My oil came out straight black/deep brown on my hands. No milkshake. I checked out the frame too while I was at it. It has some flakes by the cat but no hole that I can see and solid to a good tap. I guess I'll monitor things and see what happens when I do my plugs hopefully within a month. I have a sneaky suspicion that the truck wasn't starting at -30 because of coolant in the valve, but maybe the plugs are shot as there's no service record of them for the last 40k miles or so.

I don't know about the shipping cost but you could send the oil off to a lab like blackstone.

 

That's not a bad idea, I'll keep that in mind for next time. I'll use a more pristine vessel to collect it if I do. I wouldn't be confident my oil drain pan has no trace of coolant.
