Yeah, I wish there was an easier way to dial down/up the screen brightness without going through different settings. Sometimes I don't want my screen settings directly linked to whether my headlights are on or off.

I would usually flip mine to audio off

aftermarket ones you need to make sure odb2 comms is disabled

I have flashed @paparee’s files to my truck too many times to count, now done 2 kdmax with no issues.

I will say that the whole VIN registration aspect on the new software isn’t appealing to customers- no one wants to be on a database of tuned trucks including myself. If you just want more money I’d rather pay a fee even though that’s not what I had planned for or expected when I bought the software.

When attempting to recover the ECU, you must select a stock file. Not a tune or modified file.
After the ECU is recovered, you can then flash a tune/modified file to it.

The recovery tool only works with stock files

you can only use a stock file to recover an ecu

seems pretty straight forward to me

So I did my first flash yesterday using the 1.2.9.9.2 version, and the latest tune from @TWTaco in a vft, and it flashed successfully in about 3 min. Just wanted to point out that there were no issues for me. Thanks for the tunes @TWTaco ! Only been able to put about 5 miles on it so far, but WOW! Major difference, for the better.

If you don’t mind me asking, what tune did you flash . Is it kdmax premium 6.0 ? If yes , how’s the tip in. Is it too aggressive ? I’m having mine flashed later today . Tnx. Is it an upgrade from ovt 2.0?

Anyone else seeing this thread (and some others) in monochrome ? No colour. Just started doing this today.

(maybe it’s me. I was born in the year of the dog)

Yes. But I never see colour, only see color. But the thread did go to monochrome in the past few minutes.

I'll have to report back after my trip this weekend. It is the KDmax 6.0 for 87.. but I went from stock 04B04 to this, haven't tried an OVtune option yet. It is definitely aggressive, and so far I love it.

I had the 2.0 from stock 04b04. I love it but as we all know, the grass is always greener ...... so I’ll try the kdmax 6.0 which I’m hoping will hold 5th and 6th longer on the freeway than the 2.0 I’m going to have mine tuned later this am. I’ll go for 91 as that’s what I’ve been using ever since . Thanks for the quick reply
