Anyone know what the order lead time is from the OVS factory right now? Thinking about ordering a tent but I don't want to wait 6 months for it.. No info on their site that I can see.

Not strictly a RTT question but an awning question (there is a RTT in the picture though). Looking for ideas on a bracket extension for my Darche 180. As you can see the doors can't be opened when the awning is deployed. Solid 1 piece steel plates will work and won't be all that difficult but I would like something that I can raise and lower the awning with. So its lower when driving but when camped out I can raise it above to the door line. Something with pull pins or something similar I think? If anyone has ideas its much appreciated.

Not trying to be a smart ass, seriously, but why not deploy the awning off the other side? I think raising it above the door line, besides adding weight, is going to severely impact controlling the shade it provides.

...or maybe I'm just not understanding the question?

It would still be the same issue on the other side. Not trying to be a smart ass either but I don't see how raising the height of the awning would impact the shade it provides? I only really need to be able to raise it 6-9 inches at most. Maybe I didn't explain what was in my head well. As far as deploying off the back that would prevent me from using 2 of the 3 windows on the tent since my rack is a half height and the poles wouldn't clear both the awning (which is currently the case) and the cab of the truck. I can live with 1 window being blocked but 2 would be too much.

These are what the brackets look like just a little shorter as these are the extended versions:
    https://darche.com.au/awnings/awning-spare-parts/_item/eclipse-270180-long-l-bracket
I have them attached to the top side of the bed rack (RCI) there is just enough space for the tent's tracks to clear the thickness of the brackets. Yes this is a 180R from Darche

The easiest route is to just get some thick 3/8-1/2 steel plates and attach the awning to the steel and the steel to the brackets in place now. I was interested in a way to be able to raise and lower the awning kind of like how the patriot campers do but in a much simpler way.
Here is a better view of the 180:

I know it's been asked, I know it's been beaten to death already, but I've tried searching and I just don't have luck with the search function on this page. My question is, what are some alternatives to mattress pads that aren't the exped or any other inflatable mattress? I just cannot justify spending that kind of money on an air bed. Even if it is as highly rated as it is. Have any of you gone the memory foam pad route? If so, how is that working out and what recommendations do you have as far as brand?

I like my CVT mattress a lot. It's 2.5" thick with a waterproof cover. If your sleeping area is the same they should fit your tent. It is scalloped for the center hinge where the tent poles meet the floor as well.

    Yeah.
Denver Mattress is apparently getting in on the RTT mattress game, one of my camping buddies got a foam mattress from them.

The ExPed is not just an air mattress, though, it is foam inside, self-inflates to a point and then you just top it off to your desired level of firmness. Expensive, but I love mine.

I bought an inch and a half king size foam pad on Amazon for like 30 bucks, cut it to the same size as the foam pad that comes with the tepui. Then shoved that extra foam inside the cover with the stock foam pad. Seemed to help quite a bit and couldn’t beat it for the cost.
