I've heard stories I just think those wheels are purdy but yours in black might fit the ticket. A buddy wants mine for his Silverado so I'm kinda shopping.

I paid $200 for a used set of OME leafs a year or so ago for a 2nd/3rd Gen.

They are $335 new + shipping. $440 is probably what he paid for them.

Get some red or other color center caps or something to set it apart, and leave it plasti dipped. Touch ups are so much easier  I dod my wheels black, center caps didn't touch but did pop the emblems off and painted them red. Still have chromed lugs but will probably swap to black soon. Plasti dip cans are 5 bucks a pop and take a few seconds to touch up. Well worth it in my opinion.

Edit: he didn't post location, but most people are in MD/PA/VA in the group

What are you planning for the lugnuts? I don't mind the chrome ones but a couple of my OEM ones are cracked so I'm looking to pick up a set. Unless you have an idea of where to find quality black ones.

:spy: Amazon search: Tacoma black lug nuts

 I don't know what level of quality they'll be. I have read people just plasti dip lugs too...might give that a whirl.

So I've tried black ones off Amazon and the finish wears off. I can't find a set with reviews that don't mention rusting issues. I don't mind the chrome look which is why I may just buy another set of OEM.

For me the chrome just clashes with the black, on top of the fact that I hate chrome. I found a few that now that I read it, all mention rusting within a few months. Meh. I'll have to keep looking, it looks like 'lug nut covers' are a thing but are just as much as lugs themselves and may very well just end up flying off and being worthless anyway.

Working on buddy's hitch replacement, thanks to everyone involved this week. Now apparently we're on the search for a rear 2nd gen bumper since the supports are all rotted out, if anyone has any leads. Thanks!

Same. I've tried like 3 brands online always a different brand and the black chips off in a few tire rotations

I used black paint on OEM lugs and it’s held up pretty decent. But just by rotating tires they’ll get nicked up from the socket. I didn’t use plastidip though. Used a 2 part/catalyzed paint that doesn’t go on as thick. I liked the comfort of having oem lugs rather than Amazon ones

@Bruce988jl had an OEM bumper at one point he was looking to get rid of. Not sure if he ever did or not.

TW Express baby! I bought wheels from a Craigslist Ad in PA! Surely something can be worked out. Contact the guy and see if they are available then post up on the TW Express thread!
