Red total tail bulb dead

Does anyone know what number bulb can replace this: it’s one of the red bulbs from the total tails 1 kit. It’s dead.

Can also use any rear brake light if you need something for now.

 

I stuck the stock incandescent into get by.

 

You can also get even brighter bulbs from vleds (they make the reverse/turn bulb thats in the kit) But at $60 a pair, they are a bit expensive.

I emailed Meso about what to do if this were to happen to me. He said they could get me a new bulb when the time came.

Out of curiosity, how long have you had your kit? I was under the impression these bulbs would last quite a while since they were LED's.

I wish he would just list the bulbs separately on his site. I tried to purchase an extra set from him a while back, but he never responded as to how to go about paying($95) since it was for the bulbs only and not the complete kit. I'm not digging the idea of driving around with a burnt bulb while having to wait on one to be shipped... Not sure which VLED's are closest match to Stage 1.

What? $95? I was assuming it would be under $50 for a set of bulbs at the most, probably more in the range of $20/bulb. I never heard what the actual price was, but I also haven't had to replace them yet

 

I think I recall them saying they were V6 Tritons. You might be able to find a part number on the bulb somewhere if you haven't tried already

shoot me an email through the bottom of my website (create a ticket) and I will make sure we get a replacement out to you. The bulbs should last longer than a year.

 

For future use, do you have a preferred bulb that we can use when one goes out (in like 2-3 years) Im mainly looking for something for the reverse/turn bulb as mine are taking a bit more stress due to the strobe system I have wired into it.

Unfortunately it's a proprietary bulb. HOWEVER, I do have extras for warranty/individual sales set aside. I will be updating the website soon which will allow a customer to purchase one "a-la-carte". In the meantime, you can send an email through my website and my team can invoice you for an extra.
