I've had the stealth box in my 2gen and now again in my 3gen. You wont be disappointed with the performance. Depending on your setup and it's allowed, I would recommend adding a remote bass controller.

Where did you get yours? I don't see anywhere that even has a backorder for them.

Can you add the link where you found the box? I am all over their website and cannot find the single box. Only the big box for two 12's.

If you want a cheaper & non existent customer service, go with tacotune box, but if you want quality and great customer service for a few bucks more, get @Mr Marv to built you a custom box. His price are reasonable and if I didn't already buy a TT box, I would have gone with him.

I have a Kicker 48CWRT122 in a TT enclosure, only needed a minimal sealed box volume of 0.55-2.0 cu. ft. for that subwoofer. Paired with a Pioneer 9701 amp ran at 500 watts RMS @ 4ohms.

Don't mean to hijack,... I have heard of the Subaru tweeter hack, but what kicker speakers are you talking about?

Probably the kicker brand front 6x9's door speakers and the 6.75 rear door speakers.

Yes exactly. Huge improvement over factory, buy honestly my guess is almost any aftermarket brand in those sizes will be a big upgrade

Don't see it anywhere on there now, they might have stopped offering it.

This looks very similar but I can't vouch for the quality....

I have the JL stealth box in my truck with a 500 watt JL XD Mono amp pushing it. It hits hard you will not be disappointed.

Not sure what you mean. Basically went off the advice of this thread, sounded like I couldn't go wrong with the JL setup. The bad feedback on TT scared me off TBH

My guy at the local shop called up JL direct and that was the word. But obviously if some boxes made it out the door and are sitting at vendors you might be able to get your hands on them earlier than the next batch that is being made. It was a dumb joke. When you get yours installed you should come back and do a review.

Oh gotcha. I basically searched a bunch of vendors and that was the only one I came across. I'm pretty sure your guy got the right info, backordered direct from JL.

I did have to make one sacrifice though. I guess there is a ported version as well, which is the one I wanted, but was told more likely to find a unicorn these days.

Best out of the DS, CS, KS kicker line would be KS>CS>DS, but it all depends on what your end goal is. If you plan on replacing the head unit or adding an additional amp to help power those speakers, I would go CS/KS line to ensure you have enough speaker for whatever the additional watts but if you plan on just replacing speakers just to get rid of Toyota's paper speakers, I would buy the DS because it's budget friendly and will notice a difference. If the CS does not cost much more, I would purchase it the CS line to future proof your truck if you decide down the line to add a key amp, etc. I'm not an audio tech and there's other threads that will give you better insight. Below is the audio & video forum on TW.

I did a complete audio overhaul, focal ps 165 fxe, focal 165 fe jl audio stealth box with vxi 1000/5. Love it but I’m wishing for a little more bass. Check out foxacoustics.com for a dual box, looks awesome and also check out “five star car audio on youtube. They’ve done a few Tacoma’s with different subwoofer enclosure option. Hope this helps
