I mean, I’m a fan of skinnies. I have 255s on all three of my Toyota’s. But those are tiny!

These things practically slice into the pavement. It was between these and the Geolandar MTs in 235. Discussed with Discount swapping them out if they were too tiny once I got them bolted up (brought the wheels in the bed) and got them on tonight. Gotta see how they look in the daylight but they remind me of this:

Six solid inches across the tread face. We're talking 155s here! Feels sky high and wobbly, like it's about to fall off the balance beam. Think these are going to get swapped for something a little more reasonable. They seem to be measuring very short like most BFGs, a little under 15" at hub center, so I'm wondering if I can fit the 255/85 with no rub on an otherwise stock DCSB.

ive been running 255/85 km2 on those same trd off road wheels as you, but i never had them on without a lift...
if i had to guess, the lift isnt needed as much possibly the upper control arms that allowed me to gain some caster, just to move the front wheel forward enough so that when you are full cut the tire wont run the body mount

just a guess though, couldnt really confirm, pretty sure in the show me your 255 pizza cutter thread you might find a couple people running them without lift

When mounted, the driver's side front measured roughly 15" to the center of the hub, about 30.5" overall. I didn't break out the straightedge and measure across the tread, so the measurement could be off some, but I'd be hard-pressed to consider these 32" tires. This was at 42 psi, set with the chalk test. I dropped them off at Discount this afternoon as some 235/85 Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003s should be showing up tomorrow morning. Definitely think I'd be able to squeeze 255/85s with maybe a little modification to the wheel wells, but didn't want to go that route yet.

Disappointing, as I really liked the KM3 tread pattern and low highway noise, but I'll keep it in mind if I decide to swap the Geolandars out in a few years.
