That has a super duper, premium fuel burning, neck and axle snapping high output 4.0L inline six.

Please forgive me if this a little off topic. Had a brief look at an Old Detroit Power Plant. It said Spectrum 30Kva & had a John Deere inline 4 diesel made in of all places France. Had pretty low hours but was sittin' quite a spell. Sorry, got shoo'd out by New Auction Strawboss before I could get a pic. Used to be we could always have a gander at what was comin' in but I guess their gettin' all High Class now. When the prices start to follow I told 'em I won't be back. Sad to see this when Folks get too successful.

So the clutch is frozen to the flywheel on our New Holland 40 horse tractor, we’ve had it happen before and I don’t remember how we got it free, I’ve tried pushing against a tree, workin through the gears and then full brakes but nothing has worked so far, do any of you gentlemen have suggestions?

Can you drive it around and get it hot while working the clutch pedal? I did that once on a 140, maybe I just got lucky.

I’ll try, I think last time I locked the clutch in the disengaged position and drove around the property stomping on the brake while rolling around in M-4 or H-1. But the tractor has sat much longer this time than last time.

Back when I was a kid a Doctor down the street pulled a fifth wheel trailer with a 1971 Oldsmobile 98 coupe. It had 2 receiver hitches, one on each corner of the rear frame and pulled a 4 wheel dolly like a tag axle. The dolly had a platform that got the fifth wheel hitch at the correct height, it angled forward so the hitch was over the trunk some.

Think about it for a minute -- this was a full frame car weighing in around 5000 pounds, had a 455 engine, Turbo 400 transmission, front disk brakes and the dolly handled all the tongue weight. They went to Florida every year with it, much more comfortable than a 1971 pick up truck. I wish I had a picture of it.

I have stuck my little Cub Cadet zero turn so bad I had to use the Cherokee to pull it out.

By the way: Ever wonder what happens if you have a sudden flat rear tire on a zero turn at speed?? Well, you make an immediate hard turn in the direction of the flat -- if you happen to be on the edge of a 5 foot drop off you get to find out how well a zero turn doesn't fly...

You could get a Dual Pitch torque converter up until I believe '67 but by '68 the been counters killed it. Brake controlled switch & Hi/Lo dash switch. Cool option. Still have the complete kit.
